rehearsal dinner ideas- wilmington

HI! I'm doing some research for my MIL who will be hosting a rehearsal dinner next June in Wilmington DE. Does anyone have any great/unique ideas for 40 people that is reasonably affordable? Any recommendations would be appreciated. TIA!

actually my FILs own the Riverboat Queen.  Its behind Joe's Crab Shack on the Riverfront in WIlmington.  They have catered parties.  and you can take the boat out for a 3hr ride.  Its really nice.  They do pretty much anything you want as far as food and alcohol.  The website is www.wilmingtonriverboat.com if you wanted to look into it.

We had ours at Iron Hill Brewery on the riverfront.  I thought it was really nice.  But I'm sorry, I can't help with the price since FIL paid for it.

We're having ours at Pomodoro in Wilmington. It's a small place, but so cute! We're having about 40 people. Their max is 50 so we're taking over the whole restaurant. It's amazing authentic Italian. The owner/chef is great to work with, but I think FIL's are paying about $35 a person. I thought it was pricey, but she insisted!

Maybe you could do it at the Wilmington Western Railroad. You could do dinner on the train?? DH wanted to have our wedding there but we had too many people. We had to have a rehearsal brunch instead of dinner or I may have considered that.

We did our rehearsal dinner at Buckley's Tavern on Rt. 52.  They did a good job, the food was really yummy, and we really enjoyed it.
