Hi girls!! So im trying to find a good restaurant to host our rehearsal dinner. We are getting married at The Carolina Inn so I would like to stay in Chapel Hill or near there. Any suggestions?? Thanks.
We had our RD at 518 West, 411 West's sister restaurant in Raleigh and it was really good. La Residence is a great restaurant (very traditional decor but fabulous food), it's one of my favorite places in Chapel Hill.
Thanks Mer! FI and I are actually going to try both of those restaurants really soon to see which one we like better. I heard they both had great food too!
I heard la residence was good also. I would also look into Maggianos at Southpoint...they have a large private room and they offer family style dining which is sooo good!
We went there a few years ago when my grandparents were in town and everyone thought it was delish!
Edit: Just realized they're "sister restaurants" with 411 West (which is almost the same thing as 518 West, also a sister restaurant), Spanky's Restaurant and Bar and MEX Contemporary Mexican, which are all in CH.
Have you thought about Fearrington? It's a bit outside Chapel Hill in Pittsboro, but very cool and outstanding food. Also have to agree about La Res. The Weathervane at a Southern Season also does special events. I've mainly eaten brunch there, but it's very attractive, easy parking, and the food's been very good. And, Il Palio at the Siena Hotel is outstanding. That's all I got. Good luck!!
