  Because cheesy, traditional weddings make me nauseous (especially in Wisconsin, chicken dinner, really?... JMO, people). Also, my friends and family are all over the country and Las Vegas is so easy to get to from anywhere.

5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI?
  We have an adorable 6 month old baby boy

  I like dogs and my cat, I don't often like other cats. Savoury

I'm Kelly, I've been around a little, but not that much! 1. September 3, 2011 at Bali Hai Golf Club. It's located right near MB and the Vegas sign. 2. From the great city of Chicago 3. We met at work, we're both high school teachers. 4. Why not Vegas? We wanted a destination, but not out of the country and we both love It there. 5. FI is the basketball coach at our HS, so I'll be a basketball wife and I moonlight as a fashion blogger. 6. Two chihuahuas- Mr. Darcy and Atticus 7. I like reading everyone's posts! 8. Born and raised in Buckley, WA but now I call Fairbanks, AK Home
3- How did you and FI meet?
Eric (my FI) was my best friend's husband's best friend. Our First date was actually the same day my best friend and her husband decided to get divorced, if I hadn't asked him out when I did we probably wouldn't have seen each other again. Instead Michelle (my best friend at the time) went kinda crazy and moved away.
4- Why Vegas?
I did not want to get married in Fairbanks cause there are NO options here for anything, we didn't want to do it in Washington cause then it'd feel like it was all my friends and family, same reason to not do it in Minnesota where FI family is. And we want our wedding to fun and awesome so what better place then Vegas?
5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI?
My FI has not worn a pair of jeans in 13 years, I think this is crazy
6- Dogs or Cats? Savoury or sweet?
Dogs! Two bloodhounds and a heeler Sweet!

Best - talking to friends and family about the awesome trip we are all going to go on, and the love I feel when I hear people say they want to come all the way to Vegas to see us get married.
Worst - trying to get FI to help me make decisions and budgeting money

  My best friend introduced us cause she thought we would be perfect together...and she was right

  I didn't want the traditional wedding
  I wanted to celebrate with only my close friends and family
  I love to dance and Vegas has lots of dance clubs
  Vegas is one of FI favorite destinations; he goes every year
  All our guests get to go on vacation with us

5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI?
  I was planning our Vegas wedding since February and he finally proposed in May (Friday the 13th!!)

6- Dogs or Cats? Savoury or sweet?
  I'm pretty indecisive. I love dogs and like cats. I like both sweet and savoury.

 best - I love planning events and making lists
 worst - coordinating the timeline for the day of the wedding, trying to hang out with all our guests while we're in Vegas

I have been around for a while and post here and there.. but i dont think I have introduced myself.

November 3, 2011 @ Chapel of the Flowers in the La Capella Chapel. Reception will be in the Vista sutie @ Mandalay Bay

2- Where are you from?
Currently Live in Portland Oregon, but have lived in Washington & Idaho

3- How did you and FI meet?
Oregon State University- We were both Freshman, we dated on and off for like 4 years before we got serious. We will be getting married nearly 10 years after a first meeting.

4- Why Vegas?
Neither one of us wanted a large traditional wedding. We had always talked about Vegas or Hawaii (since he is from there), but $ wise, Vegas was cheaper.

6- Dogs or Cats? Savoury or sweet?
Dogs. We have 2 Pomeranian/Maltese mixes who are absolutely adorable! I may be biased!

7- Which regular on the LV board makes you LOL the most?
I usually get a laugh out of the comments Smokeybailey makes.

8- The worst and best thing about wedding planning?
Best thing so far.. it caters to my obsessive planning needs, worst has been dealing with guest numbers and deciding who to invite.

I'm origionally from Michigan & My FI from Ohio, but after a little bit of moving around Henderson, Nevada is our Home Sweet Home

He was a flight instructor and came to the bar I worked at to celebrate a students first solo flight. We hit it off, he gave me his number but I never called. He came back a bout a week later and didn't leave till we had plans to go out  
4- Why Vegas?
Because it is our home and the place where we are happiest!
5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI?
We are living and working in Germany until September.

Dogs!!! I Love my Yorkie!!!  I would go Savory & FI would go Sweet!

Hey everyone! I am Lindsay.

1- Wedding date and venue? July 7th 2011 (EEK 3 weeks...I am so nervous!) The Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay!

2- Where are you from? Originally from Detroit MI, Fiance's (Jeff) job moved him to Lordstown OH... so now we live in a very cute OLD house (1928 it was built) in Warren.

3- How did you and FI meet? Jeff and I met online, myspace to be exact... His friend was really into me and well I just wasn't into him. When I went on his friends myspace page Jeff was #1 on his friends list... I saw his picture and knew I had to meet him. I contacted him, we talked for days, met and the rest is history... We have been together 6 years now!

4- Why Vegas? I have wanted to get married in Vegas since before I can remember... So it was a givin once we became engaged that Vegas was where it would all become official!

5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI? Well when I was little I was in dance... I did ballet, tap, and jazz... I loved it all. I started dancing when I was about 3. It so happens that the studio I danced at, Jeff's sister danced at as well. We danced together for about 3 years and never knew each other. So in a way I am sure Jeff and I had met when he was waiting for his sisters dance class to let out!... WEIRD!

6- Dogs or Cats? Dogs for sure, Jeff is allergic to cats. We have a 7 month old pit bull weimerianer mix. She is so cute! Her name is Roxy.

Savoury or sweet? Sweet.... I have a huge sweet tooth...

8- The worst and best thing about wedding planning? Worst.. Spending money!!! Best- Knowing that in that short amount of time all this hard work and planning will pay off by getting to marry your best friend!

4- Why Vegas? We visited Vegas a few years ago and had the BEST time. It was the only vacation that we didn't want to leave and couldn't wait to go back when we got home. We looked at a few places around town that didn't excited me, so I had an epiphany one night- let's look into Vegas! So far, everyone has really loved the idea.

5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI? ...I can't think of anything that other people would find interesting!

6- Dogs or Cats? Savoury or sweet? Cats- we have two and we're obsessed. I'm savoury- he's sweet!

8- The worst and best thing about wedding planning? The worst thing for me has been incorporating both families' ideas and preferences. I know it's "our" wedding, but I really wanted to include everyone in the planning process and, now that I've done that, I'm having a hard time saying "Actually, I know you want A and I like that idea, but we'd prefer to go with B." This is mainly my issue to deal with though... lol.

The best thing  has been just getting to marry my best friend and growing closer to him throughout this process. And cake.

4- Why Vegas? We decided on a destination wedding because our friends and family live all over the country. My parents live in Vegas and we decided it was a fun, affordable, and somewhat convenient location for eveyone.
5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI? He is from Louisville, Kentucky and his family all have southern accents but somehow he does not.

3- How did you and FI meet? In theater, we were both in The Rocky Horror Show
4- Why Vegas? We've been engaged for like, 3 years, and after all that time nothing sounded appealing at home. We wanted something different and fun. We're still having a huge wedding but it feels like much more of a celebration that represents us.
5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI? He is an amazing cook. Also, we are currently living in the duplex he and his family lived in when he was born.

In college at Milwaukee School of Engineering.  I was his RA!
4- Why Vegas?
We wanted to keep the guest list small (more like medium sized I guess, but we always wanted to keep it around 80 people) and FI loved the idea of a destination wedding.  Vegas seemed like a great option for our guests - reasonable price and a fun vacation spot.
5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI?
We are going to San Diego in July to attend Comic-Con 2011.  Our first big vacation together, and while it is incredibly nerdy...we are both so excited!  I am a huge TV fan, as well as Harry Potter and the Hunger Games - so I can't wait to see what they have in store there for me.  FI is more in to movies as well as comic books.  I am hoping this will have enough for both of us to really enjoy!

Worst = Stress.  Currently, my worry is about logistics while in Vegas - making sure we get everything done before the wedding but still have time to enjoy our trip

Best = realizing how many people we have in our lives that love us.   (cheesy, i know...sorry!).  
I find myself complaining about how many people are planning to attend, when really it is a great thing so I try to just enjoy the fact that we will be surrounded by so many people that we love and not worry about the fact that i won't be able to spend time with everyone while we are there, and hope that they will all understand.

I'm the anti-bride and simply cannot do the Southern Belle/PPD wedding.  Plus, our friends and family are scattered across the country, so why not have it in our favorite vacation spot and have a big party?  Finally...have you BEEN TO TALLAHASSEE?? Ugh. It's actually cheaper to fly into Vegas from anywhere than it is to fly into Tally (see:  crappy airport and limited service).

We both have our doctorates and he wrote his dissertation on poker.  Mine was not as exciting, but it's done, dammit

1- Wedding date and venue?May 21, 2011, MB
2- Where are you from? Philly! but I live in LA now.  Moved to be with DH
3- How did you and FI meet? match.com when we both lived in the Philly/NJ area
4- Why Vegas?  It was the first vacation DH and I took together.  DH wanted a small wedding on the beach.  I didn't want the beach (can't wear fab shoes in the sand).  the compromise was LV and it was the best decision ever.
5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI? We're kind of boring
6- Dogs or Cats? Savoury or sweet? I only like my cat- Diva
7- Which regular on the LV board makes you LOL the most? vegasgroom
8- The worst and best thing about wedding planning? worst- making and then cutting the guest list, the best- when it is over and you are married!

In the beginning stages so no date as of yet. Looking into ceremony at MB and dinner at Maggiano's or everything at Platinum Hotel

I love Vegas from the 1st time I visited. SO hasn't been yet but that will change in a few months.

I will only eat my cereal out of tupperware.

Not a fan of either. Definitely sweet

$$$$$. The stress of planning and budgeting carefully and realistically.

1- Wedding date and venue? May 19, 2012-- Mandalay Bay Valley of the Falls/Mandalay Bay Ballroom for reception
2- Where are you from? San Francisco, CA, but originally from NY!
3- How did you and FI meet? During an internship at a video game company (EA) four years ago.  Intern love!
4- Why Vegas? To give my mother a heart attack. (kidding!)  Seriously, FI and I both love Vegas and our family is scattered all over the country (his parents in TX, mine back in NY, etc) so no matter where we go, it's going to be a destination wedding...might as well make it a PARTY!
5- Tell us an interesting fact about you or your FI? We get Subway every Wednesday night and Chipotle every Friday night.  And yes, I am currently working on losing 5-7 pre-wedding lbs that have crept on as a result of this habit.
6- Dogs or Cats? Savoury or sweet? Dogs-- but oh, savory or sweet, why must I choose?  I suppose savory.  Specifically, anything that is deep fried (extra points if it's covered in cheese).
7- Which regular on the LV board makes you LOL the most? Hmm...Shannyn, I think
8- The worst and best thing about wedding planning? Best= getting to plan the ultimate Vegas Vacation for me and about 90 of my closest friends and relatives, worst=arguing with my  mother over wedding choices, haha

Worst = Stress.  Currently, my worry is about logistics while in Vegas - making sure we get everything done before the wedding but still have time to enjoy our trip Best = realizing how many people we have in our lives that love us.   (cheesy, i know...sorry!).   I find myself complaining about how many people are planning to attend, when really it is a great thing so I try to just enjoy the fact that we will be surrounded by so many people that we love and not worry about the fact that i won't be able to spend time with everyone while we are there, and hope that they will all understand.
