my grandmother has been helping me plan my wedding from orlando florida for the last six months. there have been hundreds of panicked phone calls from me to her.
she showed up here last week to do some hands on stuff and i'm thrilled!
she made my bridesmaids bouquets and my bouquet (reception flowers are real but the bouquets will be silk)
We bought some roses and hydrangeas from trader joes to do some mock ups of my centerpieces. so excited.
we hit tons of thrift stores and garage sales to buy more centerpiece items. we scored a vintage projection screen we're going to use to display childhood photos of fi and i.
i finally decided to order a photobook for our guestbook six weeks out.
went through engagement photos with grandma to pick some for decorative purposes
grandma made sweet! table numbers out of buttons, vintage wallpaper, and frames.
picked paper to send to sister for to make banners and labels for food tables.
finalized day of time line.
shopped for mismatched napkins (everything at wedding is mismatched except ivory table cloths and lace overlays), and picked up all silverware finally for wedding.
did drawing and mock up of draping to figure out how many yards of fabric to order
and my least favorite task was washing, sorting and counting the 150 mismatched china plates, 150 pieces of silverware, and 50 glasses i bought.
also finalized what we're doing about chairs, and picked up votive holders from michaels while they were on sale .
sorry about all the bragging but it just feels amazing to get all the stuff finalized. she'll be coming a week before the wedding to tie up lose ends as well.
would anyone else like to brag?
also, i need a blingy sash for my wedding dress. anyone have any reccs? i don't want to spend a ton, and the ones i'm finding on etsy are at least $150-$300
