Feed the Hank Lane Band dinner?

I have a Hank Lane Band for my wedding reception this September.  When we booked, the salesman told me that we should not feed the band and their bands are often not fed - with a 10 person band, that is a lot of money to save.  Has anyone not fed the band, or also plan to not feed them?  The catering hall was surprised by this.

    it depends on what's in the contract itself.

    usually the venues feed them something else-vendor meals-not what you're having for dinner. maybe the sales person mean that-dont feel them your dinner.

    see what your venue does about vendor meals.

    we fed every one of our vendors

    It was in my contract that i had to fed all my vendors.
