    Top 5 I have:
My wooden slotted spatula.  I use this puppy for EVERYTHING!! I also have a wooden slotted spoon...and I have them both in stainless steel versions.  I love them.
My Paderno pots!! I only have two pots and one pan but I LOVE them.  So amazing!

My Paderno ceramic mixing bowls.  I couldn't find a pic but this is sort of what they look like...

My amazing casserole dish.  Passed down from my grandmother.  I know it looks average but seriously, this thing is hardcore!
My dishwasher.  That's a kitchen tool right?  B/c it's AMAZING.  I just got it a few months ago and it makes life so much easier!!

    Now 5 that I want....

A hanging rack for my pots and pans.  I NEED it.  lol

More Paderno pots and pans.  I want a set! But it's like $600....

A Kitchenaid mixer  *drool* (Not necessarily in green)

I need new plates, bowls, etc. We have hand-me-downs from when Grandma passed...it'll be nice to get our own.  Today I've decided I like these....but that will change I'm sure

And FI has decided we need a waffle maker...

Five Favorite Kitchen Gears (in no particular order)

1.) IKEA Grundtnal Spice Rack. It hangs on a rail that screws directly into wall (there are also other pieces in the series that you can hang off the rails), and we got little glass jars to use on it. We didn't have enough space in our current kitchen to have it as shown, so we unscrewed the rails and just hung the shelves directly to the wall above our stove. We use the jars for different spice mixes and meat rubs for easy access. I friggin love this thing.

#2. Fresh herb garden. I love using fresh herbs when I'm cooking - you get the most antioxidants for your buck (drying herbs strips many of the antioxidants and vitamins out) and you got a ton more flavor that using the dried stuff. Growing my own also saves me a boatload of money at the grocery store.

#3. Henkel Chef's Knife. I have one Henkel knife, and it's my baby. My mom found it alone on the clearance aisle at a Homegoods about five years ago and bought it for me. I haven't sharpened it once since and it still cuts like the first day I used it. I use this bad boy for EVERYTHING.

#4. Stirfry Pan. I use my stirfry pan for everything - fried rice, lo mein, pasta, stirfried vegetables, big batches of scrambled eggs...the list goes on and on and on.

#5. Garlic Press. FI and I put garlic in almost everything, and using a press makes for easy mincing with minimal mess. It also prevents having to bite into a random big chunk of garlic that got missed in the hand-chopping process.

Five Kitchen Gears I Want (in no particular order)

1.) Graniteware Seafood Steamer. I've been wanting to have a Lowcountry Boil for months now. I can honestly say I'll be genuinely disappointed if someone doesn't pick this up off our registry.

#2. Calphalon Cookware Set. Right now, our cookware set is stuff that's been recycled from FI's bachelor days and my undergrad days, and is beat to shite. I cannot wait to get a proper cookware set.

#3. Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. Oh, how I have dreamed about you, my friend...

#4. Kitchen Garden. Oh, what I would give for a full-blown kitchen garden. Right now, I have a pretty sizeable herb garden (with a random tomato and a few random pepper plants thrown in) in pots on a planter rack outside our lanai...I've been dying to have a full-on fruit and vegetable garden for years. FI promised me that when we get our first house, the first thing we'll buy is supplies for me to build a garden. :) What I'd like to grow - herbs, zucchini, pumpkin, baby corn, carrots, onion, green onion, snap peas, lettuce, tomatoes, strawberries, cantalope, watermelon, lemons, limes, apples, sunflowers. Oh, I'd be in heaven at that point.

#5. Convertible Gas/Charcoal Grill. Right now where we live, we're only allowed to have gas grills. I can't wait until we get our own house and can have a convertible grill. Sometimes it's best to cool with gas, but I would love the freedom to be able to cook with charcoal or wood chips...I miss the flavor of a hickory or cedar-smoked piece of steak or fish.

Paige- FI is right, you need a waffle maker. What if one day, your minding you business and then all of a sudden, you have the hankering for waffles. You get all the mixing ready to go but OOOO NOOOOO no waffle maker!?!?!?!!! That is a feeling I don't think I'd ever want. :)

I also want a cheese knife. We're big cheese heads.

...and these uni-corn holders. I wonder if they have narwhal corn holders??

And our Calphalon pots and pans

You've got one. I haven't even cracked open the strawberry coconut you left me the other night. No appetite = suckage. :(

hetsh, do I even want to know which one of those five you don't have? If you actually have a full blown kitchen garden, I might have to punch you in the anus out of sheer jealousy.

Yes! I *love* them! I had a hodge podge set of pots and pans and nothing was ever cooked evenly. These things make cooking so much easier! And they're easy to clean - I think they're supposed to be handwashed all the time because of the non-stick on them but I can't remember. We hand wash everything anyway because we don't have enough water pressure out here to use our dishwasher.

This is hard for me because a lot of the stuff we have now, we don't own.  So my lists are mixed.

    1.  I love my wooden cooking utensils and I'll want my own set when we move.

    2.  Espresso machine.  I need one.  I love to make lattes.  The one we use now (a) doesn't have a built-in grinder.  The one I want (b) does!

    3.  We have this grill and I love it, so hopefully we can get the same one.

    4.  Right now we have the All-Clad pan set and I love it, but I think we'll have to wait awhile until we get our own.

    5.  I like to make mini muffins/cupcakes/pies but hopefully I'll learn to bake other things so I really want a set like this. I love the ones that have a lid with a handle.

    6.  We both like unsweetened iced tea so I really want a Mr. Coffee Iced Tea maker.  My aunt has one and I love it.

    7.  I really like plain white dishes for everyday use.   Any brand will do.

    8.  A pancake pan!  I love pancakes but I they're so hard to make.  Plus, the little ones are cuter.

    9.  A wine cooler.  So I'm ready at all times.

    10.  I like ot use honey often.  For tea and on fruit.  And these are so cute.  Although so is the bear bottle that it usually comes in...

    What I've got:

    1. Kitchen aid with ice cream maker - You all know I'm the ice cream queen and this little machine is why.

    2. Caphelon Cook wear - I use this everyday, and love it.  Because of these i got to move my other good pans to passover to stop cooking on college grade pans for a week

    3. Caphelon knives - They cut through like butter, I have never had knives so good

    4.  enamel lined in this color - great for braising meats and cooking stews

    5. My crepe pan - used only for crepes and nothing else.  My favorite food

    What I want:

    1. Asparagus pot - ever since Mutly posted this months ago on someones fake registry or someones post about looking for items I have wanted one of these

    2.  Food mill - to make homemade apple sauce.  And Im sure I could find other amazing uses as well

    3.  A mezzeluna for making cutting herbs easier

    4.  A roasting pan - for turkey or chickens, its the one thing I forgot to register for

    5.  Wine fridge - we have one that doesnt work and I would really love one that does

btw sorry about the bold but TK isn't letting me turn it off

Ana - I'm a HUGE fan of plain white dishware and serving ware. You can dress it up, dress it down, mix it with different decor or accent pieces for every purpose under the sun. FI kept saying how we should get colored dishes, until he saw that I could use the same one dish set for every holiday and type of get-together. I think I've converted him to the white side.

You may want to check out Crate & Barrel. The nice thing about them is you can purchase dish sets, but you can also purchase individual pieces. So, if you get a basic white set from them and you break a plate, you can go and pick up that specific piece for about $2.50-$4.50. You can also mix and match sizes and shapes between the different lines. We registered for their basic white set (HERE), and mixed and matched some square pieces and serving pieces for variety.

Before I start - EKath, where did you find those Uni-corn things?  I have a slight unicorn obsession, and I happen to love corn, so I NEED THOSE.

    Things I have:

All-Clad LTD2 Cookware Set - My mom bought it off our registry for our last shower, and I am *so* excited.  We unpacked it a few nights ago, but haven't had a chance to use it yet because we grilled out and have TONS of leftovers.

Keurig B70 - I got this for FI because his single-maker broke.  BONUS:  I don't drink coffee, but this thing will also make hot chocolate and tea, which I *do* drink.  Well worth the money, we use it every day, sometimes multiple times a day.

Popcorn machine - I eat popcorn as a snack (and as dinner sometimes) often, so this little beauty is wonderful.

Le Creuset 3.5 qt. dutch oven - Wonderful for stews and casseroles, and we used it for the baked beans the other night when we grilled and they were fabulous and done in about 5 minutes.

My Kitchenaid mixer - Another mom shower gift (my mom is AWESOME, btw).  Looking forward to making breads and cakes and things.  I used it once to "test it out" and made mashed potatoes.  Best mashed potatoes EVER; I will never mash by hand again.

    Things I want:

The attachments I registered for for the above Kitchenaid mixer.

    Electric griddle

    Ebelskiver pan (filled pancakes)

Seafood cracker set so we can make crab legs and lobster at home

A really good set of knives to replace our cheap-o college ones that don't cut so well anymore.

Wow this thread is awesome.  I'm gonna get some pics.

@Oceana, I didn't even know they had convertible grills, what a great idea!  Sometimes you just want charcoal.

    1. Someone to do all the cooking for me

After that I hate to cook and I hate to think about cooking. I don't know anything about cooking stuff and what is good and what is not. BF is a good cook though, I call him my domestic housewife. Maybe on my wishlist should be a cook book.
