Bay, that stinks. But don't feel bad for getting on him about the cholesterol. That's a completely seperate issue than weight, IMO. Especially if you aren't mentioning weight, but the cholesterol.

I just Googled this & it made me sooooo mad. Seriously, we've become such a convenience based nation that even kids don't care what they eat, even if they think it's gross. They'll eat it if "they're really hungry"  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9B7im8aQjo

I'm currently irritated by all the couples on fb who feel the need to profess their love EVERY day. One girl is very close to be defriended because of all her "can't wait to marry the love of my life" posts. Seriously, I get it. You're getting married.

Oh yeah, there's crazy wasps. I don't like either, every time we have a hive around the house and J has to go take care of it I watch through the window and laugh when he runs back to the house freaking out after he sprays them.  It's good entertainment.

I have a classmate that is from the Phoenix area and she was telling me horror stories about how one of her relatives lives near trees that scorpions are drawn to. I am terrified of the concept that they come out of trees. If I ever am in AZ, I will not go near a tree.

My aunt used to get them when they lived behind a citrus orchard, but they tore that down years ago and she hasn't seen them since.  I guess some people see them more, but like I said, after almost 25 years, I've probably only seen like 4 live ones.  Of course, now that I say that, I'm going to start seeing them everywhere ;-p

Haha that would be funny, Fezzy. :) J hates bees too, he isn't very manly around them. ;) But we don't have scary wasps like that, just regular ones.

Jem, I LOVE Hawaii but every other state we are looking at would lower our COL by 9 or more percent. Hawaii would double it, lol. So that is what I'm stuck on. ;)

I also think it is funny that AZ has highways with trees that were planted and need to watered by watering systems. I just can't wrap my head around how dry that has to get.
In Response to Re: Opinions/Irritations/whatever : FI and I agree that the RM needs to get motivated about finding a place. I don't want it to end up damaging their friendship. The biggest frustration is that every weekend he goes out of town to visit his girlfriend, IF she's not coming to stay the weekend with us. She's perfectly nice and I really like her, but having house guests that I feel like I need to help entertain is exhausting. Especially this close to the wedding. I'm going to send him a shitton of apartment listings today.
    Posted by rachers1017
That would annoy me as well, our first RM was like that, he drove me NUTS. Finally he wouldn't pay the rent and we kicked him out but yeah he did destroy his and FI's relationship. FI was so upset over it. Now FI's RM is a stranger but always pays the rent and keeps the place clean. I don't like having a RM but it helps with the bills, but yeah having a lazy one is just not worth it.

My mom bought H and I these lunch bags (<a href="http://www.packit.com/?uid=PS1_GS1_LBOX&gclid=CMauucOBsq4CFRQUKgodP3nGSg" rel="nofollow">link</a>) that are ice packs- they fold up nicely to stick them in the freezer and then they keep everything cold all day.  I usually just leave my lunch at my desk rather than put it in the community fridge (b/c it's usually really full) and my afternoon yogurt is always still very cold.

Then you shouldn't have let him move in.  That sounds much bitchier than I intend it, but letting friends move in with you almost never works out well.  Especially when there's no set rent or time limit.  I think your FI needs to sit down with him and give him some kind of deadline to at least see some kind of progess.  The longer he stays there, the more annoyed you're going to get with him.

My gender studies teacher just posted pictures of women protesting the law they're trying to pass in VA forcing women who want to have abortions to have unnecessary trans-vaginal ultrasounds.  I don't think that irritated is the right word for how I feel about that.  Disgusted?  That's closer.

I lived in New Mexico growing up. When I was five or so, I was attacked by a scorpion. It felt like a thousand bee stings, and I had to be rushed to the hospital. A couple of years ago, my parents were in Santa Fe. My mom stepped out of the hotel shower, and two scorpions were in the bathroom. She grabbed a robe and ran into the hallway and refused to go back in until they were removed.

I'm failing to understand the logic here.  You want to get an abortion?  Okay, we're going to punish you by forcing a completely unnecessary, invasive procedure on you first.  Because that will completely change your mind.

And the politician (I forget who it was) that said women shouldn't be complaining because they already made a decision to be "penetrated" when they got knocked up.  Oh.  My God.

Yeah, that's the only thing that sucks.  H got called for a job on Oahu, but they were offering about 15% LESS than what he makes here, yet COL is double.  Just not worth it, but man...I'd love to live there.  We are settling with just visiting often.
