    I don't care either way about intro threads, but it does seem like most people who do them, don't really stick around. I can't remember an intro thread where someone becomes a reg. Or maybe I'm just not making the connection. Who knows?

    That's what I did. It takes a while for people to really take notice of you. When I started posting, intro posts were ALWAYS flamed. So I just participated in threads where I had something relevant to add, and I started threads when I thought I had an interesting question.

    Actually, if you reread the post that you responded to, you either 1) misunderstand what "hence" means, or 2) are saying you saw that people didn't like intro posts, but came in to do one regardless.

    That's what I did. Only not right in. I posted once. Then twice. And over the next couple of weeks a little bit more. I slowly intergrated myself into the board. Kind of like a brain slug.

    And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now.     Me too.  People used to get slaughtered for intro posts so I just started responding to threads when I had something worth adding, and then once people started recognizing me I graduated to starting my own threads.

    Haha. Brain slug. I was just curious. I, actually, did it that way, too. The second time around, anyway. The first time I did an intro post and got flamed. Then I changed my user name (because it was my real name) and came back and just started posting a little bit at first and then increased slowly. Although, I did eventually do an AKA post.

    And I always thought the opposite. Although the boards are national (well most) and anyone can post, you generally have people who have been posting there for quite some time and have built a rapport with eachother. So I didn't feel comfortable jumping in and having someone say 'who the f#ck are you??'.

    I'd rather somebody ask me who the fark I am after I say something in a thread than start an entirely new, slightly AW thread. The end result is the same: you tell people about yourself. I guess I'd rather just be asked instead of assuming people want to know all about me and making a post about it.

    May 2011 & June 2011 - 150mg Clomid = No Response
    July 2011 - Gonal-F + Ovidrel + IUI#1(8/1/11)= BFN

    And that is where we will have to agree to disagree. I don't see intro posts as AW threads....well, at least not mine. AW is this:
