May 2013 wedding! Help!!

Hi ladies! Just finalized our venue so need major help deciding on colors and flowers! Venue will be barn/outisde pavillion with woodsy area surrounding it. Ceremony will be outside as well as reception (1/2 in barn, 1/2 out). Style will be vintage and country. At first I thought robin's egg blue, and a tan color would work great because I'm sure we will have SOME burlap and wood accents to incorporate. However, I'm thinking this might be too plain. Also like blush pink, olive, sage green, and mint. I'm open to anything! Just need help!! My family whom I thought would be exstatic is now let's say, un-interested and suggesting we just elope. :( I want the wedding I've always dreamed of, so no eloping!

Robins egg blue will be difficult to find in flowers since there are very few naturally blue flowers. But you could use blue mason jars though and have burlap accents. Blue Thistle is cool wild flower you could consider for accents, but it is not robins egg blue.

I personally LOVE the blush pink, sage green color idea.  That would be very pretty fora late spring wedding, IMO.  :)

Peonies would be in season during May. They come in beautiful blush pinks. There are plenty of roses spray roes in blush pink shades. Hydrangeas come in a light blue tint. Add dusty miller leaves, actual sage, or rosemary for your mint, olive, sage colors. If you don't want to do peonies or roses, you could do a wild flower look that would go with your venue such as daisies and poms mixed with filler flowers like aster, statice, wax flowers. That would cut down costs a lot.

Put your flowers in mason jars, place them on wood slices, add a burlap runner...  Even if you don't find many flowers in Robin's egg blue, you can always buy little fake eggs and paint them that color and make little bird's nests as decorative accents in your centerpieces.

Check out Pinterest. Tons of wedding inspiration
