Arch of Sabors?

Has anyone had an Arch of Sabors at their wedding? I think it would be really neat, but I have no idea how to go about it. Any advice?

Also, fiance kinda doesn't want to wear his uniform (Air Force) at the wedding which is fine with me. He doesn't want to wear his dress uniform cause he doesn't particularly like the look. I think he might consider the mess dress uniform, but would we still be able to do the Arch of Sabors even if he's just in a tux?

I'm not sure if you can have the arch if he is not in uniform. I do know that you have to be an NCO or Officer to have it though. And you have to supply the people to do the arch for you. So IMO it may look a little strange if you have guys invited to the wedding in military uniform and your FI isn't.

I work at a function room at an MWR facility (I'm also enlisted), we host countless military weddings a year. In order to have the Arch of Sabers either the bride or groom MUST be in uniform. Also, the military members that are holding the sabers must have the rank authorizing them to do so. Hope this helps!
