For those of you who are having a judge officiate your wedding (or did have a judge officiate your wedding), did you set up a contract? Ours did not, and we set a date by word of mouth and I confirmed by email, and then he sent me a PDF'd word document stating, essentially, "I will be officiating your wedding on this date at this venue". No signatures.
Should I be setting up a contract with him? He says he has never drawn one up for officiating before. I've never created a contract before.
