jasmine gajra and jai malas

Hey everyone,

I'm hoping to order some jasmine gajra and jaimalas from fancyflorist.com. Two questions:

1) Are there any cool, modern ways to wear gajra (except around the bun/braid)?

2) Are there any particular type of jaimalas that look better? I'm not sure between carnation vs. rose vs. rose petal, etc.

    I can't really help you with the first one - but I did see a really impressive looking floral braid on the Indian Wedding Site blog today. It was incredible! But it was more than just jasmine and looked really, really heavy and traditional.

    Our jaimalas were red rose and white mums. I thought about all rose, but our decorator warned that they do get heavy. I had never thought about that. Here's what ours looked like:




    They somehow managed to get baby's breath into it even though I let them know I really, really dislike it. They were still beautiful to me!
