Gown Cleaning and Preservation Recommendations?

Hi Ladies,

I'm looking to see if anyone has any gown cleaning and preservation recommendations for the DMV area.  I've received quotes from Parkway Cleaners but saw that they didn't necessary have great reviews.  I'm not interested in Imperial Cleaners in Silver Spring, MD because all the reviews I have seen for them discuss ruined wedding gowns and a BBB rating of F.  I'm considering Gowns Rembered in Crofton, MD but can't find any reviews that aren't website testimonials (no BBB accreditation either), Wedding Gown Specialists in Arlington, VA but reviews are mixed (no BBB accreditation either), or Affordable Wedding Gown Specialists (who has all positive reviews but appears super low cost compared to other estimates I've received).  Any recommendations?  My dress is quite heavily soiled on the hemline from about 2 inches up the bottom of the dress since I just spent today trashing the dress walking around DC and MD taking photos in a lot of mud.  I'd appreciate any help you've got!

    Hi,

    I also got married recently and had a beach ceremony/outdoor reception so my dress was about the same as you described yours.  I used Total Cleaners, they're based out of Ashburn but cover the entire metro area I believe.  They've been great to work with and reasonably priced  (I think).  They also pick up and deliver free of charge.  I was not able to find a BBB rating on them though.  Hope this helps.

    You might also look at WedClean.  They are a mail-in service with excellent reviews and BBB rating.

    I am looking for the same thing does anyone else have ideas, One of my co-workers used Wedclean but has yet to get it back yet?

    Ellie's Bridal  in Alexandria has the absolute BEST wedding gown preservation service. My aunt had her old wedding gown hanging in her closet, un-preserved for YEARS. She took it over there on a whim after realizing how yellowed it's goeen since the late 60's and my jaw literally dropped when I saw it again. I saw another review somewhere about how they were able to get out a red wine stain just with normal cleaning (which I think is a less intensive process than preservation?)
