Candles as a favor..too girlie?

So I was thinking for favors to give each person a small votive candle ( vanilla sceneted) and maybe just put some ribbon around the votive ( our colors are eggplant, brown , olive green) for fall...any thoughts?  or other ideas? I also have about 140 people coming to the reception..ugh.

    i don't necessarily think it's too girlie.  but i would probably skip it.  the guys will likely leave it on the table, and not everyone uses votives at home, or wants to stick a vanilla scented candle in their purse.

    i would maybe just do something edible, like a little chocolate or cookie or something.

    Ah you do bring up a good point, I had not thought of that...

    I was also thinking candied apples as favors ..guess i will look into cookies or something too..so many choices!

    I agree.  I love candles, but I already have so many that a random vanilla votive might get left behind.

    I would always vote a food favor over any other favor!
