Rehearsal Dinner ideas in Camden, Maine

Hi everyone! We are getting married in Camden next July 4th weekend and are having trouble with rehearsal dinner ideas.  The local parks are expensive to reserve and/or don't allow alcohol. We'd like to keep the cost to around $20-30 per person for food.  We can do this with a catering company for a clambake, but we just need a venue. Restaurants are reluctant to book a party of 50 due to it being a holiday weekend. Thoughts?  Thanks in advance for your help!

    Have you contacted the Chamber of Commerce in that area?  The Camden and Rockland Chambers have merged, so I think there should be quite a bit of info there. You should also look into Archer's On the Pier in Rockland.  It's one of my favorite spots!  It's an old boat house right on the ocean with a fabulous bar out on the deck. I'm sure you could negotiate something with them. I've had some great food and cocktails there in that price range. Good luck!
