Rehearsal Dinner- Long Branch

Can anyone recommend some good restaurants to have rehearsal dinner close to Long Branch?

    Pier village has a ton of cool restaurants.  We are doing our wedding at Ocean Place.  They also have restaurants, but we are doing our farewell brunch there too, so we wanted to mix it up for the rehearsal dinner.  We looked at Sawa, a hibachi restaurant, but would up going with Max's, which is a really cute hot dog/hamburger place a few block south of all the hustle & bustle there.  We are going for a super casual vibe though. 

    If that is not your thing, McCloone's is a nicer place down there.  Avenue is really pretty and has great cocktails.  Most people say great things about the food, but we ate there once and were not impressed at all.  There is also a great place called Charley's a few blocks north of pier village that I know has a private room upstairs and has always had really good food.
