October Honeymoon Ideas!

My fiancée and I are struggling to plan the perfect October honeymoon.

We are looking to spend $3000-3500 total on the trip including airfare from Philadelphia.

We are looking for a relaxing trip with lots of good food and drinks. We'd like to avoid Mexico and Domenican as these are places we've both visited in the past. We would like to do some sightseeing and excursions while honeymooning as well. We are open to all inclusive options.

We prefer something that is adults only but open to some other options also.

Appreciate any feedback!

There are cruises that go from New York or Boston to as far as Montreal.  They are known for beautiful fall foliage.  Good food, drinks, lots of different excursions.  There won't be many kids because it is school time.

This is also the ideal time for an east coast repositioning cruise.  These can be unbelievable cheap.  We once sailed from Ft. Lauderdale to Rome.  Aer Lingus has cheap one way tickets to Europe from NYC.  Southwest doesn't go to Europe, but has budget friendly one way tickets.

We honeymooned in October. Went to Arizona. It was lovely :). Stayed at the Arizona Biltmore, in Phoenix. Went to some nice restaurants around there, such as Wrigley Mansion. We were able to swim/ pool lounge lots. Hiked a local mountain. We also traveled to Sedona for overnight and went on a horseback ride and did a wine tasting. Then we went to the Grand Canyon for the day before returning to Arizona.

It was slightly above seasonal temps when we went, 95-100F everyday.

Thank you for the suggestions! We were looking outside the US but will definitely look into some US options as well. We've done Canada and Napa/San Fran a few times (big wine drinkers ;)). They are both beautiful in their own way. Appreciate the feedback!

Well, you know I am a cruise fan.  DH is most comfortable on a cruise ship, which are most inclusive, and he liked to see and do a variety of things when he is on vacation.

Cheap Caribbean cruises (Yes!  It is hurricane season, but most cruises aren't much affected unless it hits their home port. Buy trip insurance!)

Holland America has few children.  Their food is very, very good compared to other cruise lines, and their cabins are larger.  With at least an ocean view cabin, you get a full bathtub with shower instead of those tiny little stand up showers on other lines.  You also get a sofa, table and chairs.

Celebrity is an adult oriented line, also.  They do cater to older passengers, but not all passengers are senior citizens.

Cruise lines like Carnival. Royal Caribbean, and Disney are very family oriented, although school will likely be in session in October.  Most of the children I see on HAL (if any) are home schooled.
