Hi!  I need some help, what is the proper way to thank someone for money?  Thanks alot!!

    I just got done writing a bunch of thank you cards and for the cash gifts, I would usually say somthing like: Thank you for your generous gift, it will help us immensely (as we begin our new life together) to make purchases for our new home.

    I thanked them for the generous monetary gift and said that we would be using it for some exciting home improvements... or something along those lines.
