Reception Table help!

My fiance and I love to travel, and we thought it would be a cute idea to name our tables after places we've visited. We're having a large wedding so I broke down some of the cities into places (ex. for New York we'll have a central park table, broadway table, brooklyn bridge table, etc).

Anyway, I was going to name AND number the tables so there is no confusion. Ex. Table #5, Central Park. I also wanted to include a little snippet at each table explaining WHY it is important to us. Ex. Central Park is where he proposed, etc.

I'm trying to figure out how to do this in a way that won't completely break the bank. I thought about getting 2 picture frames (one would have an explanation and one would have a picture of the place). I also thought about making 'postcards' as the escort card.

What do you think? Is this idea too involved?

    I love the idea!  If you want to make it even more simple, you could just get something with an alligator clip on it (a bigger and prettier version of something like this http://www.organize-it-online.com/itm_600169rsvp.html). Then have the table number and name with maybe a picture of the place printed up on both sides of a heavy cardstock, laminate that and stick it in the alligator clip.  I also love the postcard idea because it would give you room to add the explanation there.  Good luck! : )
