I don't know where it came from, but I'm in a great mood.

School is cancelled for the day due to the cold.  I'm so glad I don't have to leave the house 4 times between the two school-aged kids.

Poor Son got a lesson in group project partner selection last night and had to completely re-do the project when his friend refused to fix his mistakes (spelling errors, random uses of the quotation marks, forward slashes instead of back slashes, APOSTROPHES GOING THE WRONG WAY, come ON).  I bet he'll think twice about this particular friend next time.  He was pretty pissy by the time we finished it.

I'm in a pretty good mood too- might be due to the fact that tomorrow is payday, I got my taxes done last night (so I should get my refund before wedding and minimoon), and despite it being 30 IN FL, I have a blankie, space heater, and fingerless gloves at my desk.

Hopefully, this mood will carry through the rest of the day...

I went to the doc yesterday and got diagnosed with a sinus infection.  I feel worse today than yesterday so thankfully I'm already on drugs.

A family friend spent last night in ICU.  He might get back to a regular room today, but it's hitting my mom really hard.  She's also trying hard to help her other friends in need now.  I need to figure out how to help her. 

I just want to sleep though.

Work made our W2 available yesterday online.  I printed it out and got an inch long paper cut on my index finger while folding it up.  We're filing separate this year so we can have a income-based lower student loan payment for DH.  He put in his income and family size into the calculator and it said our payment could be $0.  I don't know how that could be possible, but it'd sure be nice.

I am so freaking cold.  My cuddl duds shipped this morning.  I hope they get here really soon.  Half of the train ddin't have heat, my car's heat stopped working, and being outside for all of 5 minutes means I'm still cold an hour and hot chocolate later.

I just have a nightmare assignment today, and my day started with having to pump a new patient full of Dilaudid, so... I think my day's gonna suck. At least today's my Friday and I have a four day weekend.

They are about to start construction right by the front desk of where I work. So I'm about to hear all kinds of noises. At least they are building my office space, haha.

I worked last night, woot! I will need to go pump, then sleep. I am not super hungry yet, but I should make myself eat something before I sleep too.

DH works crazy late tonight, so it will just be me and the baby for dinner. I am a bit weary of leftovers, so I might pick something else up, haven't decided. Tomorrow though is lunch with friends and babies, then friends over for Drunk Quest and drinking all this damn beer we have. Our friends are so generous, we are overloaded with beer.

I kept Bacon home today because her school wasn't on delay, unlike all the neighboring schools, and I didn't want to drive on the ice. So I got to sleep in, and now I'm playing around on the internet and not working, though I should be. This edit just feels monumental, though, and I hate my work-in-progress. 

Maybe I'll read something today.

I am working of course. I just ordered a Stitch Fix- you pay $20 and a stylist sends you an outfit based on your measurements and a huge style profile you fill out. I'm nervous, but I'm really tired of wearing the same things and feeling a bit clueless about what to wear. I used to be stylish but now, not so much.

We picked it up last year at the Vegas Comic Con, and have played it a few times now, love it. Dickery abounds, we instituted a house rule where you can take a drink of water instead, but first to break the seal gets screwed, it is just plain fun. WE have a new expansion now, so we will be trying it out tomorrow.

I was right, the day sucked with said patient ending up in the ER. At least this time it was a transfer from the transfusion room instead of the clinic?

But I was at work for 12.5 hours with no break. I blame Novartis for like the last two of those hours because I was writing up consent forms for one of their studies. What study needs SIX DIFFERENT COMBINATIONS OF DRUGS? godddddd.

@thejucheidea It's Novartis. I've worked with them in the past and they consistently find the most difficult way to do things. Like its a good idea in theory but in action it is horrible. That said, I will take them over Pfizer any day (just had a long conversation with my director about my refusal to work on Pfizer studies).
