Wedding Woes

Hi...It's Tuesday and damn cold.

Why does it have be starting so early?  And it's going to be in the 50's by this weekend.  One of my kids are going to be sick.

My new desk is all set up and it's so much better than the folding table.  It's so big.  I'm glad I chose and L shaped desk.

DH was up until after 11 last night effing around with putting a shelf up.  I heard him drop it at least 5 times and then DefConn would make a noise after he dropped it.  I was about to kill DH.

And why does my husband come in and try to tell me to get up/ask me why I'm still sleeping when I'm perfectly aware of the time?  I wait for him and the kiddo to get themselves (mostly) together since they leave before DefConn and me.  That way everyone isn't rushing to do the same things at once.  *smh*  He's been a PITA lately.  I hope his five day weekend next week improves his attitude.  I want a non-cranky DH.

Re: Hi...It's Tuesday and damn cold.

  • Love your desk, conn.  I wish we had an extra room in our house that could be my office/craft room.  Do the girls really need separate bedrooms? :)

DH and I are kicking ass on xmas presents.  We have a lot of stuff purchased already and we know what we are getting most people (and watching for deals).

I have to call around today to get some estimates on our roof.  Blech.
  • I think I'm getting seriously pissy.  And DH and I have been arguing a lot.  I'm kinda tired of some things that have been going on and it's time for him to shape up.  I realize his work is physical labor and stressful.  That's no longer an acceptable excuse.

I have Friday off, thank FSM.  I'm already counting down.  Though I've been roped into doing more work that I had originally intended for the convention, it's okay.  I think I'll enjoy it and there are a lot of speakers I'm really looking forward to seeing.

  • Shocker - H made the first move on talking the last few times we've fought. I was willing to continue the ignoring each other (because I have enough going on right now) and he's been the first to reach out. It's been a nice change.

I'm so ready for the weekend already. I'm pooped.

On the plus side, I have a huge shipment of wood (hee!) coming and I get started on holiday crafting!
  • I was that mom sitting at the bus stop with her kid in the running van.  It's cold.  I don't care.

Normal stuff today.  Laundry, work, but I did also get stuff to bake cookies with M2 and make hot chocolate mix with 6let.

I actually have to work Saturday morning.  Just an hour or so, but the kids won't be here and I'll still have to get up early.

  • Yay for an L shaped deal! They're fab. I have one with a hutch, and I actually use it as a sorta room divider. It's just the sensory deprivation I need.

It is too effin' cold!!!! Not even going to get above freezing today. But it'll warm up to the 60s later this week. Rly???

I'm still stoked for Fri and Mon. Taking PTO to have some good quality me time and knock out thanksgiving errands. Then weekend, we'll do something fun with DD's little friend.

I feel ya. I get that DH works a lot of long hours and is on his 3rd straight 6 day week, but it's not like I'm eating bonbons or anything.  I'm working full time, keeping up on the house, cooking, and running herd on 2 kids...never knowing if he's going to show up at 5:30p or 9:30p.
  • It was 46 F this morning- at least it will warm up to about 70 today. So cold! :)

MrsConn, DH does the same shit. He likes to use the bathroom next to the kid's room and last night I can hear him brushing his teeth. And then I hear DD cough and make some noises, and I'm thinking "MF-er you wake her up and I'll have your balls." Both kids are sick, I think. DD might just have teething issues, but DS has a runny nose and cough that isn't really being helped by allergy meds. Of course, I already planned to take Friday off and I have a ton of work this week as a result.

I got a bunch of stuff to make decorations for DD's party. I'm so excited. I cannot believe my girl is going to be 1. She gave DS a hug the other day and I about died.
  • It's warmed up to 11 degrees here!  It supposed to be near 40 on Sunday.  It's way too early for this kind of cold.

DH was a drama llama this morning because his coat zipper is being stupid.  So he huffed and puffed while throwing that coat into a chair and grabbing another.  Then he pushed the wrong button on the remote and the TV didn't go off, just the satelite box and that was being "stupid".  Dude, just leave it and let's get going to take me to work - you'll be back in 20 mins.  UGH - sometimes having a husband is worse than a toddler.

I have a monitor this week and a sponsor rep auditing him so I don't need the extra stress from home on top of work stuff.

When I got to work, the first person I saw was a woman here who's husband died last year.  Then, it struck me that she wishes she had her husband back, even if he was being a drama llama.  So....I'm trying hard to be thankful for my H today, despite the morning!

  • Eh, I think this ends up being that time of year when everyone goes all Estes Hotel/Shining/Here's Johnny on the spousal unit. Both ways.

    May the best survivalist win.

  • It's the start of DH's busy time of the year and GOSH DANG!!!!  It doesn't help that he and DD in the same room together are like fire and gasoline...
