Try looking them up on weddingwire.com - there are a ton of reviews there.

I would be a little skeptical if there are no weddngwire reviews - we picked a videographer who had only been in business like 3 months when we met them, and they had 10 reviews on there already.  Ask them if they can provide you with references.
