I have been dreading dealing with invitations!
I decided a while ago a general idea of what i wanted, but my vision has changed a few times along the way. I met with the place i am using a few months ago. I then spent a couple of months making my pocketfolds. The pocketfolds were a ton of work! For about $70 though i have my 100 pocketfolds. I know it sounds like a lot, but i tried shopping around and had a really hard time finding them in budget and the right color.
On friday I had my meeting for the invitation place. I am having them do the invitation and backer, hotel, direction and rsvp cards, a belly band and monogram enclosure. I will put it together myself, but they are going to cut and order all of it. They will design the actual layouts for me and encorporate my orchid theme. The total for their piece is $390. I know it still sounds like a lot of money, but from shopping around I feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck. I am also really relieved to be done with picking them. Everything will be in and ready for me to assemble November 19th, which should give me plenty of time to assemble.
