Dear MACbook, I would just like to thank you for committing suicide 2mo before my wedding. I would also like to thank you for not telling me ahead of time that you wanted to die. Thats not nice.     That blows. I had the same thing happen. I wanted to scream and then 16 days before the wedding the DJ disappeared. It sucks now, but trust me when I say in a few months you'll look back and laugh at your reaction.

    Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that. In case you haven't found a place yet, Computer Rennaissance on Delaware Ave in Albany (they're all over the place too) was able to retrieve my files for me when my motherboard died. Good luck!

    I'm so sorry to hear that!  My FI (a Mac guy) offered the following advice: "Depending on what the problem is, you can often pull the hard drive out and put it in another machine and all is well. If the problem is the hard drive, a techie type might be able to get some (or even all) of the data off of it for cheap/free. There are also professional services that will recover the data from the drive, but they are very expensive."I don't know if that will help you but good luck!

    Oh no that sucks! Im really sorry! This is something I never considered might happen. Don't give up yet on finding a way to get your files back..theres gotta be a way.  GL!

    #1 - I am soooooo sorry that happened to you.  I was just thinking about backing everything up the other day.#2 - Your macbook letter was hilarious.  At least you have a good sense of humor to keep you going.  Post if we can help you find/send you anything.
