What are you doing this weekend?


I am going to visit my Future In-Laws in the town I am getting married in. I am meeting with the caterer and hopfully hammering down a menu... Ilm also hopefully meeting with the women's Club President at the church to talk with her about using the linens and things fo freeee.... she already agreed to it... and wants to buy our chaircovers. I might just gift them to the Church if we use a lot of their stuff....

So excited to just relax this weekend, I love visiting my ILs because they spoil me...

I'm getting a shellac manicure tomorrow - I had a Groupon I forgot about, so I don't have to pay for it, so that's awesome.

Tonight we're having a Pampered Chef party at our house.  Should be fun - about 10-15 friends coming over, free food and cooking demo, and we're serving cheap wine, which is always a great way to spend a Friday night!  If any of you ladies want to buy Pampered Chef products, let me know and I'll PM you the link to my "store" so you can buy through the party code.

Other than that, not a lot!  Grocery shopping and the like, definitely exercising little miss Sasha who hasn't gotten as much as she deserves this week - just a 30-40 minute walk in the morning and evening and playing in the backyard.  But she's a puppy and really needs twice that, but the dog park where we can take her off the leash and let her run around is closed for renovations.  I'm hoping it re-opens this weekend - she LOVES playing with other dogs!

Yay thank god it's the weekend! (well almost) FI's best man is coming out tonight. Not exactly looking forward to it. FI turned 21 yesterday and whenever his friend comes out he ends up eating all of our food and if he wants more he comes to the store with us and we end up buying it. Now he'll drink our alcohol yay not. Lol.

Other than that I need to play catch up with school and get my reading done. I also need to go sell from freaking advertising because I'm so close to my February quota and my boss was giving me shiit yesterday for not having sold anything for a week or so. I call my accounts and no one answers and because of a new crazy marketing lady for one of my accounts, I lost it. She was rude to my boss to so my boss gave it to the guy in classifieds. Ugh

Calindi I love Shellac Manicures. I actually got my nails to grow long and keep them pretty! I have bridal portraits in May so if I can keep them long and nice I'm doing a shellac for those then fake for the wedding

I can't for the life of me get my nails to grow.  Course it would help if I stopped biting them, I suppose.

Doing errands all day tomorrow and shuffling the little cat to the v-e-t.  I think she has another ear infection, poor little thing.  She just scratches and scratches at it.  Sunday we're possibly shopping for a new couch...?  Hopefully.  The cats have barfed on this one enough, I think they should have something new to barf on.

My weekend will be awesome, well should be! Lol. I'm working tomorrow all day though, but its one of.the few Saturdays I work. My sister and her family will get down here tomorrow sometime so I get to see and spend time with my niece!!! Theyll be here til Monday or Tuesday. H should be getting home sometime tonight, if not tomorrow. He's been gone this week. It's pretty much just family time for me this weekend!

I'm so glad it's Friday, and it's a three day weekend! Woot!! We had a three-day weekend commander's call this morning - don't drink and drive and legal advice about political participation do's and don'ts. I actually learned something, but as usual read too much into and came to the not-serious conclusion that military members cannot participate in Breast Cancer awareness walks or attend Catholic Masses. Heehee, I'm kidding of course, just my way of over generalizing what the Capt and Lt. Col were saying to be difficult. Yay.

Then I popped over to thebump since I discovered they have  toddler board while researching the shower I'm planning and got so mad. I know it's nothing, and shouldn't let it bother me, but it does. So, there was a lady who posted as "Airman's Wife" and someone responds, "oh since your sn is Airman's wife, your husband must be a pilot so...." That seriously irks me. Airman is like Soldier, Sailor or Marine. It doesn't mean they are in the air all the time, it means they are in the Air Force! So do all Soldiers drive tanks and all Sailors live on a boat? And I know, a lot of civilians don't understand or care to understand about military things, but the OP had a picture of her and the husband and he had stripes, not brass! Anyway, I had never posted on that particular board, was just lurking for fun, but I had to educate the poor lady who made such an broad assumption. 

Now my rant is over so my day will inevitably get better. Yay Friday!! (And thanks for letting me vent, not that you had much option, but you could have skipped my post, in which case you wouldn't be reading my thanks and so I'm not thanking you  )

Oh, I'm with you on the nail biting.  I stopped for awhile, and then job stress caused me to start right back up again.  I'm hoping the shellac manicure helps me stop - it usually does!

I love getting manicures, but in the winter I get so self consious of my hands, they get all dry and cracked and nasty..mainly because I pick at them and am a little compuslive about using hand sanitizer..... I started using this Lush hand repair...but the smell doesn't exactly make me like to use it. Not to mention I don't really like the oily feeling

(And then told the OP which name I liked and she should worry about popularity as long as she loves the name she chooses.) It's on the baby names board, looking for a girl name.

I was so excited to find the Tot board but it's like there are no regulars and everyone of the newcomers as the same question (pacifier habits, potty training and travel) and I feel out of place, like I'm the only working mommy on the board! So I lurk in the baby names board and read all the cute, weird, crazy and fun names people come up with and sometimes on the military families board, but again, feel out place on that one cause I'm a single mommy and the SM. The Baby Shower girls get VERY cranky sometimes, and it makes me giggle and roll my eyes.

Jealous! My best GF is still deployed. I'm hoping she gets home before I deploy so we can have a girls night. Our last one was in July!

Oh yea, I totally get that. Everyone who has heard about the engagement is asking to see the ring and well I'm always REALLY terribly self concious about how dried out my hands get. My desk at work even has a little pump at my desk of hand sanitizer...(they feed the compulsion) so I'm always using it when I go from one task to another. In short, I carry a little bottle of cocoa butter formula with me now lol and reapply like every hour but it's really helped :) No oily feeling either

C - I'm jealous of your manicure. I cut my nails and took my nail polish off for my meeting with my OSO today. I guess it's pretty much moto weekend for me. I have a meeting with my OSO today. Tomorrow we're going out to do the ROTC's o-cousre. Sunday I have nothing to do thank goodness. I'm sure I'll be tired after being out in cold and mud all day Saturday.

I'm at work all day today but I'm doing some Disney things tonight. Yay!

Tomorrow I'm getting my hair colored and then spending the afternoon with FI and two friends doing more Disney things! Although we really should be working on wedding stuff.

Monday I'm going to go to this really ghetto clinic and get my diet pills! I can't wait to drop all this weight and hopefully start working out more.

I have friends from home visiting. H surprised me by coming home last night (I almost called 911 and was about to attack him).  He was on a TDY that had an unknown duration.... He went and rented some Kinect games so we'll be drinking and dancing our face off tonight. We're all pumped haha.

We'll be hosting them all weekend and hitting up a Hockey Game on Sunday. This week has been pretty rough so I'll be going through a ton of wine tonight.

The FI is working tonight so he'll get home after I go to bed.  And since we have only the one car between us, it's Girl's Night In with a little bit of wine and a good book.  And because I'm compulsive I'll probably start the weekend cleaning.  But mostly read.

I once made the mistake, very early on in our relationship, of referring to the FI as a soldier.  I have never made it since.

... Gettin down on Fridayyy, Friday... How did no one continue the song? Lol I had today off and been running errands all day. Finally got my marriage cert. yay legal marriage!!!! Anyway, now H is taking me to our restaurant (read: swanky dinner time) for our dateaversary. Tomorrow night is H's poker night, so I will be chillin alone. Maybe crafting or blogging. Sunday I will be at a photoshoot.
