I don't understand why people think cheating is funny.

I was listening to the radio today and they were having a confession hour.  And some girl called in laughing, saying that she just drove an hour to have sex with a guy in the backseat of her car.  Then she said he is engaged and getting married in 3 weeks.  Then the DJ started laughing too.

Why would anyone find that funny?  I just don't get it.

    Because people think its ok and I guess don't realize how hurtful and disgusting it is. I'm appalled that anyone would think that that is funny!

    That's horrible. That's not even close to being funny. I hope her FI catches her or finds out and then leaves her. Ugh.

    Well, she did just put it all over the radio, so hopefully she heard it and call his sorry @ss out on it! Really, affairs are not glamorous like they show on tv and in the movies. And it's not funny or cool to use someone or cheat on someone. And this is why the divorce rate is so high - because somewhere along the way, people don't actually believe it's "wrong."

    I don't understand. I mean, if you feel like cheating on someone, why marry them? If you are going to be unfaithful, or have been, just break up with your SO!

    You'd think, with the fact that so many politicians' and celebrities' infidelities splashed all over the news, and the fact that we as a culture exploit the pain of these cheaters' spouses/SOs, it would become rather clear that it is uncool.

    Cheating hurts. A lot. The fact that this girl did it--and then called in to a radio show about it--really says quite a bit about how ready she is to be married.

    I know a couple of people who are still so immature that they think cheating makes them a badass. The last time I ran into someone w/that mindset I was so disgusted that I just looked at her and said, congrats, you're a $lut. Needless to say we don't really speak anymore.

    April Fool's joke? I hope? Sigghh, I don't know what is wrong with people. It isn't funny, though it gives some entertainment in the form of Judge Judy.
