    I would normally be completely on the bride & groom's side with any guest list choices, but in this case I think you should invite D. I realize you're not close with D, but if the rest of the family is invited and they are family friends of your parents...it would feel a little weird to only exclude D and not C as well. I would expect that A&B would also think this was odd and possibly even a mistake or faux pas.

    If it's not going to have a big impact on your budget or prevent you both from inviting someone you really do want there, i'd go ahead and invite D.

    You two are paying for your own wedding, right?  If so, you get to have more say.

    Do you dislike D?

    There are a lot of hills I'd die on, but if I had the money and the space, that probably wouldn't be one I'd die on.
