groom's duties.

Re: groom's duties.

The duty of the groom is the same as that of the bride.  Plan the wedding.  Pay for the wedding.  Get pretty clothes.  Show up and have fun. There is no "breakdown."  Some men are more involved in the planning process than others.  You will find that there are certain things that the groom may be very insistant about, and then other details that he could care less about.  Either way, the responsibility of planning is not left solely up to the bride (and it's definately not the job of the bridesmaids of MOH to help plan) - decisions about the wedding should be made together.
Holy Crap. We survived the first year!

Tide is correct. The duties are same as the bride's. The bride and groom are partners in the wedding. However, the groom has sole responsibility for choosing and asking his groomsmen. He should also be heavily involved in picking his attire, the attire of the groomsmen, coordinating with them for tux rentals, etc. and choosing their gifts. He can ask for input if he wants it, but this should be his gig.

Tide says it well. Bride and groom are equal in the wedding planning/paying/ organizing. groom does his attendants bride hers. Each picks their own attire. Both get married
