So what's everyone making for the Superbowl?

I made up a batch of red velvet white chocolate chip cookies and some brownies for dessert and a Pernil (Spanish pulled pork).  What's on the menu for everyone else?

My roommate and I are going all out like we did last year. He is making a nacho bar with seasoned beef, seasoned chicken, refried beans, lettuce, salsa, peppers and sour cream and he is also making pork tenderloins. I am making bacon wrapped waterchestnuts and lil smokies, lil smokies in bbq sauce and I made rice crispies shaped as footballs dipped in chocolate with the white lines and laces. We of course will be serving some fine Wisconsin beerLeinies.

  • Hoboken, I would love to try those cupcakes.  Would you post the recipe??  Me, nothing.  DH is off skiing with the boys this weekend and I've got cheer practice Sunday nights, so I won't even get to watch most of it.  :(  Besides, now that the Patriots are out, I don't really care.  Go 49'ers I suppose, since I don't like Baltimore

<div>Oops!!  You're right.  I saw the Red Velvet and the c in cookies and immediately jumped to cupcakes.  Thanks for the link though  </div>

  • I love Pernil!!  I'm probably going to make some old-fashioned chicken wings LOL.  I know I'm very boring LOL.

  • It's just H and I, so nothing fancy. Pizza, cocktail weenies, meatballs, chicken wings, chips and dip. I'm on WW and have been saving up all of my points for this!
  • Those Rice Krispie treats sound fun, wish I thought of it. I just made a bean salsa to have with chips, and DH is picking up wings. I am completely uninterested in football or the Superbowl.
  • We're boycotting the superbowl and going to the movies.
  • H is OOT, so I'm going to a friend's house and it will just be me, her H, their 10 month old and me. I made Knorr's Spinach Dip to take over. It won't be a big blowout (unless baby girl Emery creates one, that is).
  • Lobster Mac and Cheese!  yum yum  Not hosting this year, which I am actually happy about because my house is a mess with wedding stuff.  But FI's friend was cracking up when I made him ask how big his tv was.

[QUOTE]I am still boycotting the superbowl since I don't like either teams. But we are watching the puppy bowl and more likely ordering pizza.

  • Filet mignon cheese steaks (leftover beef tenderloin from last night), wings, bacon wrapped water chesnuts, mint julep cupcakes (bourbon chocolate with mint frosting).

DH is from San Francisco so we aren't holding back this year.

  • I made vegan brownies with mint frosting and spicy guacamole and bought some hummus (and also bringing some no-chicken tenders for myself). My brother and his gf are making hero sandwiches and chicken wings and got a veggie platter and chips. My mom is bringing vegetable nut loaf and rice. And I think everyone's doing a little BYOB too, should be fun!
