Marry and Tux?

Has anyone gotten their wedding dress here?  And if so, did you have a salesperson that you absolutely loved?

I have not looked their for wedding dresses for myself, but I was in a wedding a little over a year ago and we got our bridesmaid dresses there and I was NOT impressed!!
Overall my biggest complaint is that when I went to pick up my dress they just handed it to me....didn't ask if I wanted to try it on to make sure it fit or anything. So when I got it home and out of the bag to try it on I realized that it was totally wrinkled and had not been pressed SO i had to bring it back for them to press it so it would lay right. Then when I tried it on again after (again at home) I realized that some of the stiching was coming apart....needless to say I had my grandmother fix it because I did not want to have to deal with going back to them again.
I do not recommend that at sorry.
Sorry for the rant but hope this helps!

I got my dress there and Stephanie was my consultant.  She was FABULOUS! She listened to everything I had to say (even when FMIL was being pushy about what she wanted me to wear).  The dress I ended up getting was one that Stephanie found for me based on what I liked in some of the others that I tried on. Also, their prices are very reasonable.  They can work with almost any budget.

I loved her so much I booked her for the appointment for my BM to pick their dresses.  They all loved her as well.  It seemed like she had all of the time in the world for us. We did not have an experience like PP mentioned.  They made it very easy to order dresses and each of my BM tried on their dress before taking it home. It was not a problem.

They do not, however do their own alterations.  They will give you a list of recommended seemstresses.  I am going for my final fitting today in fact at Dressmaking by Dolly in Hudson and her prices are amazing and her work is great! She will be doing the steaming and pressing for us.

I cannot say enough about Stephanite at Marry and Tux.  I had an excellent experience and will recommend her to anyone! :)

I had a similar experience as Amanda... I had gone there for a wedding I was in and went with the Bride and the saleswoman was ehh..she was a bit older and just not enthusiastic at all and wedding dress shopping is obvi kind of a big deal to a bride. When we walked in no even welcomed us in, we kind of stood there until the girl finally looked up from what she was doing and asked if we had an apoointment. So I didnt get a great vibe from the start and the saleswoman we had just made it worse. They have a nice selection, but I wouldnt go there just because of my experience. Good luck!

My sister had a very tight budget for her wedding so when we got to Marry and Tux she explained to the consultant that we would like to look at their dresses on the sale rack. The consultant gave her a snobby look and then said "I guess you can look but there isn't much on there." She was very rude to my sister, my mother, and I the whole time we were in there. Unfortunately I don't remember the consultant's name so my story probably doesn't help you at all. Sorry :-/

I got my dress there, and had a great experience.  Katy was my consultant, and did a GREAT job! I told her about what I wanted, and she pulled three dresses to start, and i loved EACH of them!  I definitely recommend them. I felt that they had a good variation of price points, also, which helps.

I got my dress there -- I just picked it up last week! I worked with Stephanie and she was wonderful!! I had an appointment to look at dresses and told her what I wanted. I can be overwelming seeing all the dresses hanging up. I had in my mind that I wanted a halter style. But I told her that I was open to suggestions. I loved one that was on one of their displays and then I  picked a few others and she picked a few. I tried on a couple that I didn't like,  a few that were ok... they had just got in a new shipment and one was a new halter style, she ran up and grabbed it for me to try. I was so impressed that she would do that. I ended up ordering the one on the display!! When I tried it on that was it!! I feel she was honest with her opinions - she didn;t tell me that she loved everything just to try to sell me a dress. My sister also picked out her bridesmaid dress that day with her and the service was just as great! I will say the dresses at marry and tux are going to be in a higher price range than somewhere like Davids. Be prepared for that. I went to Davids and tried on a few that were ok and maybe I would have even bought one there but the detail at Marry and Tux was in a totally different league. You can't really compare the two. I'll attach a picture of my dress it was $1095. The entire thing is beaded and the detail is amazing! I love it! Also think of time frame I ordered mine the last week of December and it came in 2 weeks ago.

I also had an appointment with Katy.  She was awesome.  I had a pretty difficult group with me.  I warned her in the room that my mom was hard to handle and had opposing views to mine.  She did a great job listening to what i was looking for and kept adjusting to what i liked and didn't like about different dresses.  The last dress i tried on, I came out on cloud nine almost saying it was the one.  My mother hated it and ruined it for me, but that is a whole different story.  Though i didn't get my dress there, I had such a good experience that i recommended it to my friend whose bridal party i am in, and had equally a good experience when we went for her.  She may be buying her dress there.

I got my dress there last month.  Lindsay was my consultant, and she was awesome!  Really enthusiastic, super sweet, and not even remotely pushy.  Overall we had a great experience; we even went WAY over our appointment time, haha.  She let me take all the time I needed, and honestly the biggest timesuck in my appointment was deciding what color I wanted to order.  She even let me take two dresses in the colors I was choosing between to look at them in natural light, so I'd know for sure I was making the right choice.  She also did an amazing job keeping the appointment about ME, which is crucial because my mother has a tendancy to get upset and overbearing when she's not in the spotlight.  She managed to appease my mom without making it about her :)
