S&amp;M - Order Shorter Train?

I have my eye on a Sottero & Midgley dress but the train's too long for my semi-formal wedding. The style has a lace and net overlay and I think it may be too difficult to shorten. Does anyone know if you can order S&M dresses with a shorter train?TIA!!

The 14 year old boy in my head laughed at your post title. Most gowns cane me customized. Ask the bridal shop and see what they say.
