  • Ok, calm down with the exclamation points.

Talk to a seamstress, maybe you can have something similar made?

  • The thing is, that dress is clearly a very expensive couture creation. I agree that you could go to a local seamstress and ask about a replica, but at some point, the fabric and workmanship required is just going to mean that it will cost a fortune. Its a heaps of silk and hours and hours of handsewing. A cheaper replica may not achieve the same affect and you may be disappointed. I really suggest looking at dresses in your budget and working from there.
  • Hello see through bridesmaid dresses!

OP, having a dress replicated or made for you is sometimes just as expensive if not more then going to a store and buying a dress from their selection.

What is it about the dress that you like?  Is it the top, the bottom, the beading/embroidery?  List the elements that you like best (pick 2 or 3) and then start looking in stores or on the internet for dresses that may be similar.  I know that Vera Wang dresses at Davids Bridal have similar skirts (just not as large) if that is what you like the most.

Also you need to be realistic about what you can get for your budget.  There was a dress featured on Say Yes to the Dress that I absolutely loved.  It was a Pnina (but more understated then her usual designs) but it was $15-20,000.  No way would I be able to afford that.  So I took the items I liked from it (the sweetheart neckline, the rouched bodice, the flowers on the skirt) and went to find something with those elements in a store.  I found THE dress and absolutely fell in love with it and that dream dress went straight out the window.

You can find a dress you love even if it isn't the dream dress from the pictures.

  • Gorgeous dress, just be sure that the see-thru part of the dress doesn't make you look dated in photos, I doubt that will be in style 10-20 years from now.  So keep that in mind too.
Shop for similar dresses in salons and remember to enjoy the experience too.

<div>Not to sound rude but I doubt that any of our dresses will be in style 10 or 20 years from now. You need to purchase a dress that you love now and not think about how "in style" it will be in the future.</div>
