Trunk shows and sample Sales – What to expect?

I haven’t even tried on a single dress yet but a shop near me is having a trunk sale from a designer that has my dream dress and I’m thinking of going.

What can I expect?

nothing really different than a normal appointment. the only thing a trunk show does is give you a discount and most of the time the designer is there so you can usually meet them. 

a sample sale.....that's a whole other ball of fire......

LOL, oh boy! I think Im too green for a sample sale right now!

Do you have any idea if at Trunk Show, the discounts are worth it? And will popular dresses be there? Or are there only leftovers?

From my understandings, trunk shows are great b/c you get the discount. The only catch is, you must order/buy the dress that day (or duration of trunk show).

Don't be deterred by sample sales -they can often be worth it.  In fact, I found my dress off the rack as a sample and got it fo 1/2 off.

Ok, so here's the deal, the trunk sale featured new dresses at 10% off, not enough for me , and you had to buy it during the duration of the sale. So it wasnt as great as I thought, but if you want a new dress and dont need the big discount, it could be great. But I dont think Ill be attending any more trunk sales
