XP: Anyone Clean/Preserve Their Gown Through David's Bridal?

I got an email promotion from David's Bridal advertising gown cleaning and preservation for $99 (normally $189). Has anyone done this? They ship you a kit to send them the dress and you get it back within 3 weeks (all shipping included in the price).  My dress isn't from David's which makes me a little nervous but that price is great.
Thoughts?
TIA!

  • I'd look at the fine print to see if it's only for dressed purchased through David's Bridal before sending in the dress. Or maybe a local dry cleaner can match their special price for cleaning and preserving?

  • I didn't use DB for my dress. I didn't get it there, either. I used a local reputable cleaners that the place where I got my dress also recommended. They also pressed it for me before the wedding. I would probably do a little more research and see who they ship it out to? Is it done at the local stores? Or is it done elsewhere? I really love my dress and my concern would be them getting it mixed up if it is just one big facility somewhere.
