Why can't I find a sash I like?

(And can afford)

I'm looking for a white/ivory sash for my dress. I'm open to flower(s) or a mixture of flower(s) and feathers. Buuut... I don't want to spend $40 or more. I checked out etsy and there's nothing under $40 that I like. I realize you get what you pay for, but it's not something I would ever, ever wear again and I've already hit what was budgeted for attire for me. *sigh* Does anyone have any extra ideas? I've checked etsy, preowned wedding dresses, classifieds, and even random dress sites including knock off sites.

ETA: Oh, and I have found some things I like on etsy, but they're made in Europe (mostly places like Lithuania) and that scares me =/

Are you wanting a simple sash, or something complicated? If it's a really simple sash and you have a sewing machine, you can make it yourself. If you're comfortable with the idea of making it, check out DIY sites for ideas and suggestions.

I agree with PP. I think you will find it hard to find a sash that costs less then $40. A sash is something that can easily be DIY'd for very little money. Most craft stores carry a variety of ribbon, flowers and accessories that you could use. Find pictures of sashes you like, take them with you to the craft store and buy items that seem along the same lines. If you mess it up you won't be out of a lot of money.

But, IMO, I know that what might be expensive to some isn't to others, but $40 for a wedding sash seems like a really good deal.
