Snarky Brides

Well, that's frustrating.

I was expecting FI to be home about 5:30 today because he works until 5.  I have everything ready for dinner and I get a text saying that he'll be home around 6:30 because he decided to go to the gym.  Why does that always happen when I actually have dinner ready?

  • Because life is fair.

I wish I could go to the gym today but I have to go damn dress shopping again.

  • Ugh!  That is frustrating.

My mom just called and asked if I wanted to go over there for dinner.  If I don't I probably won't have dinner tonight and H is working until 11 so I guess dinner at the parents' it is.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • Well B, you can come eat with me.  Dinner's ready and I have enough for two!  Chicken enchiladas, rice, guacamole work for you?

  • You know what I find frustrating?  When my family calls me while I am at the gym and says "hey, we're at this restaurant, waiting to get sat, you should join us" and it turns out they've been in town all day long and never bothered to mention to me so I could plan on meeting them for dinner.  Then I look like a jerk for missing out, when I had no way of knowing.

I'm completely weirded out by FI's new schedule. He just started grad school and had to change his hours. So now he works every day until 10 p.m. I feel like a bachelorette. I've been eating a lot of lean cuisines and watching bad TV.

  • It sounds a heck of a lot better than what my mom's making.

I'm going to be having some hamburger-in-gravy-with-potatoes thingy.  I've never been a fan but it's better than the slim jim I was planning on eating.

  • People who don't plan in general frustrate me, AATB, so I feel you on that one.

Come on over, CS!  Though, by the time you get here, FI will probably have made it home and dinner will be long gone.

  • I called H and it was a similar situation except he and his boss are having dinner and beers with some client, so I ordered chicken wings and salad. Too bad for him.
  • I'm out for the day - have a good evening girls - and enjoy whatever it is you end up having for dinner :)

  • See you later, AATB.

I'll be back in a bit.  I'm heading out for dinner now.

A little late to the game and haven't read the responses but it happens because you have yet to lay down the advanced notice law.  H came home late to the remnants of 2 delicious dinners before he learned that any deviation to his "get home time" must be announced with ample time for me to rearrange dinner plans
