It's Monday...

How are you all doing?

I am exhausted this morning. My eye is still burning a bit but no more pink. I have my last dress fitting this week, better watch what I eat...

Re: It's Monday...

  • Im pretty sad, TLo hasnt posted their mad men recap post yet, and normally they do by now. That means I wont get to read it until tonight because I will be at work all day :( This depresses me.

Ive decided im going to try going to the gym near my work tonight, im mildly excited. I hope its a nice location.
  • Way to much to do today at work, but that's okay because it tends to make Monday pass quickly.

I remember my dress fitting (I only had one). I sort of freaked out and decided the dress made me look fatter, but I calmed down after I got some more of the outfit on-shoes, hair comb, etc.
  • Good Morning, Ladies!  Happy Monday?  I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning.  I'm hoping to take Friday off to go to MIL's house and pick up a car we're buying from her.  We don't get to see her enough, so it should be fun.

  • Morning. i am exhausted because I stayed up late finishing the book Catching Fire. I couldn't put it down and am paying for it today. But on the plus side, I get to start Mockingjay tonight.

I had an awesome weekend with my family. I got to see my brother's dorm and campus, meet his roommates, hang out with my dad. Fun times all around. And on Friday I went to Olive Garden with my mom and stepdad and saw an old friend, which was nice. The evening ended with my stepdad lecturing the waitress on poor service, but other than that it was a great nice out (and she really did suck, she didn't come to our table for a full half hour and when my mom went up and asked her for something she said she'd bring it then never came back).
  • Good Morning.  I'm in a pretty good mood right now.  The sun just came up and I have a beautiful new window in my office by which to enjoy it.  My stupid coworker isn't here yet so I have a good half an hour to an hour and a half to prepare to go apeshit, so right now I'm enjoying the calm before the storm.

I finally saw Paranormal Activity last night, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised, although I saw the ending coming a mile away.

I'm glad your pink eye is going away, Number.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • Good morning!

I hate Mondays. My brain isn't fully functioning yet.

I think I may have found my latest dream home. I'm going to try to make an appointment to see it after work.

  • Morning.  Traffic sucked balls this morning, so I was 15 minutes late to work, only to have an alarm pop up on my desktop telling I should be downtown Toronto (a 30 mintue drive w/o traffic, so more like 60 minutes) in 15 minutes.  Fun.  I sitll haven't decided if I'm going to go to the thing in Toronto or not.  I hope my boss says I don't have to.

    Did MILF post any pictures?

  • Good (i guess) morning...I'm dragging. For my birthday we went to the UT vs. Florida game. Even without the booze I think I'd still be exhausted. Lucky for me, UT has a "taste panel" every Monday (and sometimes other days too). If you go eat a couple bites of whatever they're serving you get 2 free snacks and a free soda. I'm all about the free caffeine today!

Champagne - Have you tried Chegg.com? I assume you're a grad student but if you're ok with renting books, they're pretty good.

  • It's Monday. I'm here.
J and I ran several errands and took Max with us (one of them was PetSmart). It was only 60, so he was good in the car for the others (none were long).
We both did some projects in the house, and feel good about those (but have a long way to go). He forced me to stop at 9:30 so I didn't continue my cleaning frenzy and throw my back out (a typical scenario). I just hope my momentum will carry over into this afternoon and I can at least finish the project I wanted to do in our bedroom.
Our 1st anniversary is Sunday. He apparently arranged to have a dozen roses sent to me on Friday the 24th. They came this past Friday. They are gorgeous, but he was mad. He said it makes him look like he doesn't know when we got married, but I know he does.

Oh, and his birthday dinner was Saturday, and he loved his birthday card from Mike Rowe. Even more than I thought he would. :)

I love you Missy. Even though you are not smart enough to take online quizzes to find out really important information. ~cew
  • Happy Monday!

I'm just getting settled into my new office at work.  Same department; same office actually... just my very own personal cube now.  (My desk used to be part of the reception area... ie no personal space.)  Good news- TK still isn't blocked :)

I'm also enjoying a Sun-dried tomato bagel.  Yum.

oh, and I had my first (of two) wedding showers this weekend, which was a ton of fun.

Glad to hear the pinkeye is going away, numbers!
  • P.S. Sesh- How much do you love those books?!  I read Hunger Games a few months ago, and waiting to read Catching Fire until Mockingjay was released.  I read them both back-to-back one weekend.  I don't think I left the couch for about 20 hours straight.
  • We're back from our mini-honeymoon in South Haven, Michigan.  It was so sweet & relaxing - perfect!
  • Good morning.

My (less than a year old) car made funny noises this morning when I started it.  So that was fun to deal with on Monday when I was already running late.

I think I'm entering the final stretch of pre-wedding-panic, and that sucks.  I'm ready for everything to be done.

I freaking love these books. I bought them as a box set last Wednesday and I'm about to start Mockingjay tonight. I stayed up until 1 last night finishing Catching Fire. I couldn't put it down.

Have you read the Underland Series by the same author? They are for a younger crowd but are still great, if you can handle giant talking roaches and rats. My mom gave me the first one, Gregor the Overlander, to make sure it was appropriate for her classroom and once I read it I had to get the others, 5 or 6 total I think.

I'm pretty living deady this morning.  I've been in class this morning for 10 minutes and have no idea what she's saying.

I use them too! They make my book bill a little better. Sometimes I buy from Ebay or half.com if I can find the book on there, then resell them on either of those sites..

[QUOTE]Happy Monkey Monday!! This should be a pretty good week! There is a half day of school on Thursday and no school for the students on Friday. Hopefully the next 3 days fly by! FH and I are going to get our marriage license on Thursday and my shower is Saturday! I cannot believe that the time is finally here. Have a great day everyone!

    Ahh, exciting!!
  • I'm actually somewhat awake this morning, and having a great Monday- thanks to my German chocolate cake coffee. Love that stuff. I also got  some pumpkin spice coffee, that just makes me want fall weather to get here!

Betrothed- I thought Paranormal Activity was lame.. I was disappointed because everyone was talking it up so much, and I am really weird about watching scary movies.. I laughed the whole time watching that though. Except the ouiji board part. Those things freak me out...
  • Happy Monday!

I spent the weekend having a yard sale ($200! woohoo!) and cleaning my house for an open house yesterday. Here's hoping that thing sells soon. I'm tired.

I also got rid of 2/3 of my Halloween and Christmas stuff in the yard sale, but I went to B&N yesterday and looked at the Halloween magazines and then to Michaels to look at Halloween stuff and thought of two crafts for Chloe and I to make for Halloween. Oops. :) We're making a creepy tray of spell ingredients in spooky jars and glasses with cool labels. I found the best stuff at the Dollar Tree to go in them, like tongues and ears and tiny skulls, etc. I'm pretty excited. We're also going to make a gothic snakey wreath for the door. I love Halloween!
  • I had a craptastical day at work yesterday, so I'm not looking forward to going today.  But hopefully I'll get in a run, paint my nails, and get some dishes done before that.  If I can get my butt up off the couch, that is.

  • My Monday kind of sucks so far.  I was on vacation in Hawaii last week, so I am coming back to stacks of work on my desk.  I guess I can't complain though seeing as how this was my second week long vacation this year when I technically only get one week paid vacation.  And Hawaii was, of course, awesome because it's Hawaii AND we got engaged :-D
