How's our menu?

I think it sounds yummy! Haha. 

We're having a small, outdoor wedding with a cute Southern feel. We decided on BBQ! Here are my ideas! (These are only ideas! I'm going to talk to a caterer next weekend.)

Cocktail hour: 

Watermelon and strawberry salad

Different dips w/ veggies

Meal:

Pulled pork 

Smoked BBQ chicken 

potato salad

corn on the cob

mac n cheese (maybe Alfredo mac n cheese)

Meggiemuggins

sounds yummy!  I'd consider maybe adding another veggie to the dinner:  green beans or baked beans or someting to stretch it out.  On another note, do you have any vegetarian guests?  They'll need a hearty main dish too.

No vegetarians! I was thinking of adding a regular salad? With different dressings.

Definately add someting green to the meal. But it sounds lovley.

Try a veggie salad - there are tons of variations, I make mine with a vinagarette, great taste, texture & will hold up well in the heat

Are the guests going to be standing up eating the salad during cocktail hour? I think that might be awkward.  Maybe have some cheese and crackers or dips during cocktail hour instead, and add the salad to the buffet.  I do think maybe adding another veggie like green beans (cooked southern style with bacon or a ham hock) would be good, coleslaw, maybe baked beans or barbecue beans, or blackeyed peas.  Otherwise, it sounds awesome.

That sounds delicious.  I grew up down south and that menu makes me so nostalgic, lol!  I would, however, add one more vegetable at dinner.  You might also consider something like baked beans, which go really well with barbecue foods.
