Hi Everyone! 

My boyfriend and I are in the final round of a contest to win an engagement ring! The contest in being sponsored by Simon G. Jewelry and TheKnot.com. The couple with the most votes by the end of November will win an engagement ring and their story will be featured on TheKnot!

That's like people who go to Texas who expect everyone in the state to pull for the longhorns.

Hi Ladies! 

Sorry it's taken this long for me to get back with you all. Just got home from work  

Chris and I have been together for over 5 years. We met while I was still in college and he was developing an idea for a restaurant concept. We knew VERY quickly that we had something special. I'm not sure if it shows on my "stats" or anything on this site, but we actually registered with The Knot back in 2006 with an "estimated" wedding date of June 2007!!! It's now almost 2011 and I still have the status of "No Ring Yet". 

We have grown so much as a couple in these past 5 years. We have our "kids" (our two dogs, Spud & Rudy) and we share everything! With small-business loans and student debt up to our eyeballs, we just haven't been in a financial position to buy a ring or pay for a wedding. 

When we came across this contest, we HAD to give it a shot. We have been campaigning our HEARTS out for support. We plan on being together for the rest of our lives regardless of the outcome of this competition, it would just help make us "official"

Oh! And yes, there was a choice between 5 different rings when we first registered for the competition. Just so happens that 2 of couples in the finals have the same taste.
