Getting in Shape

32 Days until I get Married....I can't seem to LOSE!

When I bought my wedding dress in Nov. I was 25 pounds lighter. Since Nov. I have had my hormone switched three times... I was very very thin...and needed to start eating healthy and gain some weight...now I'm back at the same weight I was before I went on "diet" for a year... My metabolism is so low..I went from working out three times a day... to walking only...I had no energy and all I did was sleep before I gained the weight. I wanted to switch my dress...but I can't afford it. Any one have any ideas?? I don't even know what to eat...healthy....I have bad digestion problems...I pretty much only ate salad for a year or so.... ugh..what a mess.... I feel great if I could just adjust to my new size! A size 4 to a size 8-10... Any ideas??

  • I dont think you can go from an 8-10 to a 4 in 32 days. You may want to see if you can find a used dress that can be taylored in an 8 or 10.

I'm confused I guess - are you asking for advice on how to get a new dress or advice on weight loss/healthy living? Are you too tired to work out? Is this due to whatever hormone therapy you spoke of? If so, maybe you should talk to your doctor about another option. I know I went through a period where I was exhausted all the time, almost falling asleep at work, I had my vitamin D tested and it was seriously low. I know anemia has this symptom too. Maybe you should talk to your doctor about having a blood test to see if there is another underlying issue.

If you can't work out, eat better and eat less. Start tracking your calories and eat as clean as possible. Download either myfitnesspal or spark people (apps, both free) to track your calories. This should get you going on weight loss but unfortunately I don't think it's possible or safe to go down 2-3 sizes in 4 weeks.

As far as options for a new dress have you talked to your seamstress is there anything he/she can do? If not, like PP said a used dress may be an option or perhaps you can purchase a sample dress off the rack at a lower cost.

I need help on healthy living. I want to eat healthy, but have no idea where to start. All food taste so boring to me. I try to watch carbs and salt. I have no idea. I starved my body so bad that I gained all kinds of weight as well. I want to lose around 5-10 pounds. I know 5 is something I could possibly do, but 10 is a far punch. I had some test done a while ago, but what is "healthy" eating. I also want to get rid of all the extra water weight. Flush diet?

Healthy eating is things like fruits and veggies.  Fozen meals are typically bad and ful of salt.  No sodas only water.  If you have carbs try to pair it with lean proteins like chicken or fish or lean beef and switch from regular pasta to things that are high in fiber or just wheat pasta because it is healthier for you.  You can search all kinds of recipes.  I have a couple word documents of weight watcher recipes that I found on the internet if you want I can send them to you in an email or something.  PM me your email if you want the documents.
