Same Flowers for Ceremony & Reception Question

Hi, i am hoping to have the flowers used at the ceremony moved to the reception once the ceremony is over.  Has anyone ever heard of doing this or know if its common to have the florist stay to move them?  I am looking to save money in the flower budget and thought this would be a good idea.  Thanks for your help.

I would just have a friend, or family member move them.

I agree with the PP and I also will be transfering some of my ceremony flowers over to the reception hall. Most likely a family member that isnt immediate family will hellp with that.

I used to do this all the time when I worked at a florist.  In fact my boss who would do all the consultations would suggest this to brides that were looking to save money.

I will be doing the same thing.  I dont plan on having too many flowers at the ceremony itself besides the bouquets, and we will put them in vases on the tables at the reception as centerpieces.   I am hoping to have 2 altar floral arrangements and then they will be used as decor for the cake table and the gift/guest book table.
