C&B Registry "Most Loved" Hearts

So, I have just noticed that Crate and Barrel is now letting me select five items to designate as "most loved" by clicking on hearts by the items. Is that going too far, or should I heart things?

  • I'm registered there and noticed that too.  Originally I was excited about the idea... but I don't htink I'm going to use it.  I don't want to tell people which items to start with.... kinda feel awkard doing it.

  • I've noticed it too, and I think it's a little awkward.  Probably going too far.  If people want to know your most loved items they will ask you, family, or close friends.

  • Yeah, it SOUNDS like a really great idea, but I'd probably just choose 5 of the most expensive things on my registry (knife set, kitchenaid mixer, food processor, le creuset skillet, etc.) and that would be kind of rude. "Don't know what to buy me first? How about this REALLY EXPENSIVE thing???" Yeah, not so good.
  • Glad we're all on the same page with the hearts. I wish instead they had some option for offering an explanation on a few items which look really bizarre if you don't know the inventory of our apartment. Like, we're registered for the dinnerware protectors (the padded cases and the felt liners) but we're not registered for dinnerware. Which I'm sure will strike everybody as totally strange. But the reason for this is that we have inherited china, that is very important to us, but currently no china cabinet or room for a china cabinet. So getting these protectors would be very important to us.
