    Then they are allowed to have invites- they're helping you pay. If you would have declined the money you could say no, however you did not, and therefore they get to invite people.

    I know, sadly it's true. I'm getting married in less than a month and although i didn't really WANT to invite a few people, our parents/grandparents are helping us and therefore they got a say in things :) oh well
