I went on my first dress shopping trip today and as a New Yorker, Kleinfeld's felt like the right place to start. I think I was wrong. The overall experience was wonderful and it seems that now they assign you 2 consults [when I was there as an MOH, the bride worked with one] which was great. They were lovely, helpful, and applied no pressure. That came from me.
I tried on about 9 dresses, liked a lot of them, and loved one! When the veil was on and I was in the center salon, the tears came. I don't know why, but I didn't expect to find a dress I loved so much--silly, I know. The consultants left me, my dad and stepmom alone to think it over. She came back with a better price! I was thinking it over and I saw a woman behind me wearing another lace dress and I wanted to try it on. That's how I knew I wasn't ready. I knew I wouldn't be ready to stop looking.
I'm making more appointments for the summer and already have a second appointment at Kleinfeld's in Septemeber.
Here's a picture of the dress!
