ATTN: Groom's name first

For those of you who chose to put the groom's name first, how did you word your invitations?

Re: ATTN: Groom's name first

  • Can I ask if you are doing so why are you putting the Grooms name 1st ? I have never seen a wedding a invitation with the groom name 1st. The woman name is supposed to go 1st.

We were going to do the same thing at one point, but told him I had yet to see an invite where it's his name first...so I get you ;) I would just switch everything. So mines would read: "Together with their parents, Fi full name And My full name request the honor of your presence at their wedding" However, you see we are not listing my parents name. I'm sure other ladies will suggest more formal verbiage that might be helpful.

  • I was tempted to put the grooms name first, but then I learned that you are not supposed to separate a man from his last name. You are marrying him and taking his last name so his name is supposed to be last.
