I'm in love with Big Bird..it's wrong but not my fault...

So my mother, grandmother and I went dress shopping on Wednesday. We went to 3 different shops. By the third shop I had got it down and pretty clear what I was looking for. My mother saw a dress in their catalog that was in my budget and was the look I was going for. Unfortunately they had just sold the sample two days before but the girl had a gown that was similar so I could get a feel for what it looked like on. So I tried it on and came out and saw how it looked on my body and actually fell in love with it. It's a Angelina Faccenda Bridal Couture-Mori Lee Style 1221...It had everything I was looking for minus the one shoulder (I really don't want it now with this dress)...dropped waist, rouching, ruffles, tiny bit of bling and it even had feathers!! but not over the top feathers just subtle feathers here and there on the skirt. My mom called it Big Bird. I felt good, it looked great on my body even though it was a few sizes too big. Well I told the girl at the salon I actually like this one better. I asked her the price and found out Big Bird was twice my budget. Even though FI is paying for it this is still more than what I want to pay for a dress.  Ugh why did she let me try that thing on! Isn't that like the cardinal rule of dress shopping. Lol at least they say that on Say Yes to the Dress. Anywho I've been dreaming about that dress. I wake up and look at the only pic I have of it. My mom accidentally erased the ones of me in it.  Anywho I'm still looking for that dress--cheaper or one very similar to it.  I put a pic of it hanging up in the dressing room and the one from the site. Pics don't do it justice especially the one on the model..I swear I look better in it...lol (hey I gotta think that right?!) Any other discount sites you ladies know of? I've looked on recycledbride and oncewed. I can't remember what the others are. I don't want to go the China route yet.

Here's another dress I tried on that was in my budget..very cute but not a dropped waist and I was thinking of adding the one shoulder to it but making it go across the chest instead of just the immediate shoulder above it........excuse the face i'm making

I have a Mori Lee too. Pearl' s Place priced my dress about $300.00 cheaper but I had already got my dress elsewhere. Big bird is beautiful! Good luck and keep us posted.

I was just about to say call Pearl's place.  I have a Mori Lee too and it was $400 cheaper there than at the shop I tried it on at.  Shipping to California from Pearl's place is only $20!!!!!! Good luck girlie.  Go get your dress!

I didn't get a chance to call them today. I work at night and am just coming off a weekend of 12 hr shifts so I was exhausted. I'll be calling Pearl's Place when I'm off later this week. Also,  I have two other local stores to check before I start road tripping. Hopefully I will find BIg Bird or at least Big Bird's cousin. LOL!! Thanks for the nice compliments ladies!

Thanks for the compliments! I decided to go with the champagne/gold. I really love it but I was beyond upset when I realized that Pearl's Place had it for much less, lol.
