Natural hair:curls won't revert back

Ok, so for my wedding i got my natural hair straightened. I have been natural for a year and it was the second time it was straightened. well, she used a hot comb and in the front my edges are STRAIGHT and won't revert back to curls. Do i have to recut it again, or just give it time?

i would just give it time.....my youngest has very soft tight curls and my mom for some reason thought it would be *cute* to straighten her hair with a hot comb Yell! after about a week and 3 washes her hair returned to normal.......

It is a waiting game. After mine is straightened it takes about two weeks for the curil to return.

Give it some time. The straightening comb does that sometimes. When I used the hot comb, it'd sometimes take 2 weeks for it to revert. You'll prob. have to grow it out a bit and then cut the ends so that it matches the texture of rest of your hair.

Give it time.  I wouldn't worry.

Also a really good deep conditioner will help.

Sounds like you may have heat damage...do a protein treatment. If it dosen't revert back you may have to cut it.

Oh my goodness this is my worst fear....now I'm scared. Let me know if it reverts.

If it hits a month and you've done a protein treatment (like Aphogee), and your curls don't revert, you might as well call it a day. You're pretty much going to have to cut it off.

I've been natural for 5 years and this happened to me recently. I can't bare to part with my armpit length hair all at once so I'm just getting an inch cut off every other month.
