is something wrong with the "email replies" button?

The other day I checked my email and I had like 300 new messages - all of them were replies from 1 post that I hadn't even seen in months. All the messages had come within 5 minutes of each other - I checked the post, and there was only 1 new reply. Each of the emails said that the same person did it. I deleted all those and didn't think any thing else of it until today when I wrote a post and clicked "email replies" so I'd know when someone replied.

After a couple of hours with no new emails, I decided to check - there HAD been replies, and the email button was selected - it said "stop email replies." I went back to my email and checked my junk folder and I didn't find anything from TK telling me I had a reply.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Haha I didn't even know there WAS an e-mail replies button... Silly me.

I only use it for the board I moderate, but that's never happened to me. Shoot Knot Annie an email and let her know about it. You'll probably never get a reply, but at least you can have some peace of mind knowing that someone knows about it.

Hmm, I've never used it ... but I'd do like mrandmrsbrist suggested and email KA about it, or TK help link at the bottom ... maybe.  Don't know if you'll actually be able to stop it or not ... but it's worth a try! :-)

seriously? You never use the email replies button? I use it all the time - when I make a new post, or when I reply to something, asking a question or want to see more replies after mine.  

I'm almost lost without it!!

I think a lot of people just go back to the board and look at the thread to see if someone replied.

this takes so much more time though. Instead of clicking on old posts that I've already read because there might be replies, they just email me when I get a reply so I can spend my time looking at new posts.
