Our std's came in!! Yay!

It feels so good to have them here & now I can send them all out!!

I also found on Etsy this morning a lady that would make our custom cake topper (our dogs, boy & girl boston terriers). But it's about $130... do you guys think that's too much for a cake topper?

I agree, that's too much, unless you really, really, really want them and can afford it.  Yay for STD's.  : )

I just found another lady that makes them. Not as "nice" as the first one but she only charges $55!

I would say that $150 is a lot for a cake topper.  $55 definately sounds more reasonable, but don't do anything u will regret.

    and lets see those std's!

    They look good!
Regarding cake topper - it all depends on if you really want it as a keepsake. Mine was $130 (given as Christmas gift by FMIL) but then again, mine is swarovski crystal and will hopefully be an heirloom. If you have the money, and plan on keeping it on display then I would so to go with the one you like best.

I spent $190 on ours, custom cake topper as well from Etsy.  It will go in a glass dome for display after the wedding so to me, it was worth it.

Well here, you guys tell me what you think...

Here's some work from the $55 lady...

Is there really that big of a difference between the animals? The people are different, but we're not getting people. Just 2 dogs...

a friend of mines has given cake toppers JUST LIKE THOSE to two of our our friends who got married in the last year. She made them herself!  Her style is more like the second/cheaper option.  I think they both look nice.  Considering the material being used, the second more "handmade' look doesn't make it look cheaper in my opinion.  I think either option would be a good

I totally considered the Etsy seller (especially since she's out of Seattle) but ended up going with a different one just due to style.  If you're only doing the dogs, I would recommend contacting the seller and seeing how much she would charge for just the dogs - you never know, it might run less.  Personally, I prefer the Etsy seller style vs. the 2nd style one.  Mostly due to the eyes - something about them just makes them look puckery, if that makes sense?  Of course, that's just me.  The dark brown dogs all look pretty good, though, so maybe?

Both sellers are from etsy. But the second seller doesn't have a lot of dog items posted on etsy so I went to her blog & copied those pictures. We are going to do just the dogs. The first Etsyan said it would be $130, the second said it would be $55.... That a big difference.
I also found the 1st seller by doing a seattle search. I found a couple things that way! :)

those are super cute!!! depends on the cake topper, the whole wedding planning is about picking what's important for you and compromising on the stuff that isn't

I actually prefer the 2nd one (the one you're getting) - I like that they look like little clay figurines and I think with the dogs it'll be even cuter.
