Wedding Woes

Red, pink, black & white colors

Not sure if this is a good place to post this, but it's a bit of a woe to me, so figured it's as good a place as any.I am in the somewhat beginning stages of planning (have 10 months to go still) and am having a problem picking colors.I am definitely doing black dresses for my BM's and most likely a white sash or no sash. I was planning on doing just black/white/red, but then got to thinking...I might want another color in there too!Do you all think a black/white/red/pink wedding would look okay? I am sticking with the black and white regardless (already bought those favors!) but I'm not sure if I should just do red, just do pink, or do both with it. I love the look of red with black and white (very classic), but then I keep running across red and pink bouquets and get attached to easily b/c they are so beautiful! HELP anyone!

Just pick a color and go with it. I'd recommend getting one in a shade that's easy to match, because you'll end up looking for fabric, tulle, favors, tablecloths, napkins, etc. in one or more of your accent colors.Just about everything looks good with black and white (red, yellow, turquoise, lime green, pink...). FWIW, I had a black/white/red wedding and felt no compulsion to add pink.  Bouquets can have other colors in them (I had some flame callas and pink carnations, among other things) without being an official part of the color scheme.

Just go with what you like. If you want red and pink bouquets, do it. If You want orange and purple table cloths, do that too. Your color scheme doesn't need to be as strict as the knot would have you think.

I think that sounds like a lot of colors in the mix.My girls wore black, the guys wore black tuxes, I was in ivory and my DH had an ivory vest. The only "colors" were the fall colors of the bouquets and center pieces.Less is more. You don't want a variety of colors all over the place so it looks like a flamingo threw up all over your reception.

I hope KristinTraivs isn't your real name....if it is, get a new email address and knotname. You don't want people out there on a public message board to know your first and last name, for the sake of safety. Also, I hate pink and red together...it is like black and brown - they don't mix.

You don't have to use pink and red for your colors just because they're in the bouquets.  My bouquets had a color that wasn't used anywhere else. But I could be wrong, I never considered myself to have proper wedding colors.

Thanks for all the replies guys! And no, my real name isn't KristinTravis...don't worry! I've never done something that stupid and never would! I think I'm going to just stick with black white and red...I just am so indecisive and was maybe hoping someone had some input on the matter. My main colors will still be black and white...the red really is just an accent at this point, and if pink were added it would just be a small additional accent as well.
